I feel like curling up in a ball and crying. There is SO MUCH to do, and I don’t want to do any of it! πŸ™

I feel like Im going to forget so much stuff…

I have the big stuff, a place to get married, a place to go afterwards, food, someone to marry us, and a photographer. Oh and people I spose, we did STD’s haha.

But I have yet to buy a dress, do Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, decide on a H/MUA, do any invites, figure out decor other than centrepieces, book the florist, secure our DJ, or a ceremony musician, find chairs to rent, figure out boys’ attire, buy underwear, pick music, ceremony info, even book a damn honeymoon!

I need to get on it πŸ™

You ladies are on top of stuff! Some days I feel like I have a lot accomplished but in reality… there is still so much left.

My Current To-Do List:

– Find Florist for my bouquet (bridesmaids are done, used silk for those)

– Order Invites and send them out (August)

– Set Rehearsal dinner time and place

– Book cake

– Book hair and makeup trial and day of services

– Make music playlist

– Assemble favors (already have all the stuff)

– Meet with officiant to decide on ceremony information

– Bridal shower/Bach Party dates and invite list to Maid/Matron of Honor

– Alterations on dress

– Marriage license

– Bridal party gifts

– Wedding Bands

– Purchase Veil and Hairpiece

– Bridesmaid dress shop (appt set for April 12)

– Rent chairs for outdoor ceremony

– Buy big and little pumpkins for reception/ceremony decor (waiting until Sept when they start selling them all over the place)

And then of course continue making payments to everyone who I already booked (venue, photog, DJ). FUN.

We are meeting with our *hopefully* officiant, to go over what we’d like, and get to know her. If we like her [and she likes us], we’ll put down the deposit for her. She’s been really great though, and she’s totally on board with our offbeat ceremony script, so I’m really excited! Total, her fee is $600.

We just selected our date a few weeks ago… so I have a TON of stuff to do compared to most that have responded.

So far, we have done the following:

  • Booked reception venue
  • Booked ceremony venue (and have a back-up, just in case)
  • Bought my dress
  • Ring Bearer outfits
  • My wedding rings

We will hopefully have this stuff done by the end of this week, or next week:

  • Book Officiant
  • Book Photographer
  • Decide on entertainment (Band or DJ); book
  • Pick out and order bridesmaid dresses

And then there is everything else, ha. I’ll have to look through the thread some more and see if I’m missing anything to add to my “To Do” lists.
