We are getting married and having the reception in one location, because our town is small and the location is quite remote. It’s certainly not the Ritz, but we love the intimacy it holds. We are having a smaller wedding (with a smaller budget).

This is the location of the ceremony.

This is the reception hall.

The scenic view from outside.

@mylittleviolett:  Thanks! We’re really excited about getting married in a museum, it’s very “us”. ๐Ÿ˜€

I am seriously drooling over all of these venues! Really gorgeous!

We will be having the ceremony in the church in the village where I grew up:

And the reception in the gardens of a medieval manor house about 2 miles away! ๐Ÿ™‚

Our theme is “English summer wedding” because that’s what it is!

We are getting married in front of this old, HUGE hisotical house, cocktail hour will take place IN the house, and if you look to the right in the picture, you’ll see part of a brick building – that’s our reception building. It’s nothing special though, just a community brick building with tables & chairs.

Ooh, this is such fun! What beautiful, beautiful venues!

We’ll be getting married here, the churhc when I was Christened:

And then the reception is here, at a hotel about 10 minutes away on the edge of town! Sorry, all the pictures were taken when we went over the Christmas period – the interior ones at night, and the exterior ones when we went for an open day.

It has some really beautiful grounds, and they join onto a nature reserve as well!

All my pictures of the inside are kinda dark, I’m afraid…

Sorry, loads of pictures! And none of the main reception room, because I just didn’t think.

@FLBlonde93:  I was so lucky to attend my aunts wedding at Kapalua in August of 2011!! It was absolutely gorgeous. In fact, there was a tiny passing shower about an hour before the ceremony, which resulted in a rainbow over the ceremony site!! Here’s a picture:

I hope you have a great time, we absolutely did!!! What a great venue. Congratulations!

@mylittleviolett:  That looks beautiful! The apple orchard will be absolutely fantastic in May as well, and that terrace looks perfect for chilling on an early summer evening.

@IUrebekah3RT:  Oh, I really like the lights strung up over the tables, and that see view with the weeping willow for the ceremony site looks lovely.

@sinfulli2sweet: That church is so nice – I love how big it is, but it still looks very welcoming. I bet the accoustics in there are amazing.

@leecy87:  That looks lovely – it’s so light and airy! And I bet you’ll have loads of fun decorating it for you, but you don’t need to do much because it’s so elegant and charming as it is.

@gingernutjo:  Castle! <3 They do weddings at some of the castles near me, but sadly they were waaaayy out of my budget. I hope you share your photos, because they’re going to look amazing.

@LullabelleK:  That venue is so unusual, I love it. I love all the exposed wood and the ceiling beams, and how bright it is. It’s amazing!

@Audrey2:  Mann, I’m so jealous of your lovely venue by a river. My venue has a canal overflow bit that runs down the edge of it, but it’s a bit green and gross. ๐Ÿ™ Your pictures are going to be so pretty!

@starz88962:  Thank you so much for sharing, as you just made my day!  I am so happy to hear that your Aunt’s wedding was gorgeous and that you enjoyed the venue.  The rainbow in your photo is beautiful, and I really appreciate you sharing the image with me.  I am starting my day off grinning now, because I am so excited- thank you so much!
