We’re doing a 2-3 night minimoon at a b&b somewhere within a 3 hour driving radius of the Baltimore-DC metro area, depending on how long my Mom agrees to take care of DS. It will probably be around $1200 for 3 nights. We will plan the big trip to Europe some time after we buy a house. Practicality comes first. Dang adulthood. LOL

My Fiance and I are going to go to the Gulf Shores/Pensacola area. We wanted to go somewhere where we knew the area and could just relax and get away from everything. We don’t want to be tourists anywhere. It shouldn’t end up costing much at all. We will just have to pay for the condo, gas, and food. I am really excited! Though this doesn’t sound like a great honemoon, it definitely will be! We will have the rest of our lives to explore and go to other places we have never been, but I don’t want the stress of trying to find my way around and wondering what we are going to do on our honeymoon.

@bebefly –  You could definitely do a week all-inclusive for much less than $2600!   We’re doing our week in Punta Cana for only $1800 total.  We go at least once a year to an all inclusive.  We’ve gone to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerta Vallarta, Aruba, Bahamas, and now Punta Cana!  And we never spent more than $2000 total!!  And we’ve always had a wonderful time.  The food, service, rooms, beach, and everything are always incredible.  Don’t let the inexpensive prices scare you away!  They’re still gorgeous resorts! ๐Ÿ™‚

Check out Applevacations.com.  That’s where we usually book our trips!  I usually just search by the dates we want, and then check out all of the different locations to see where the best deals are.  Then I end up choosing whichever destination is the least expensive for the time of the year we want to go.   It is also much less expensive if you leave on a weekday rather than a weekend.  We are traveling Monday-Monday instead of Sunday-Sunday, and it saved us about $600!  So make sure you play around with the dates a little to see which day gives you the best price.   And book as far in advance as you can.  We booked our trip 8 months in advance.  It’s now only 3 months in advance of when we leave, and the last time I checked online, the price of the trip has gone up by $600, so I’m glad we booked early ๐Ÿ™‚

We are going to Oahu, Hawaii for 8 nights. Airline tickets were gifted to us by the in-laws who used their miles. Our hotel and rental car will be just over 2K. I anticipate us spending at least $1000 on food, activities etc while we’re there. We’re staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village which looks really nice. I’m so excited!

We went for 7 days and it was $3,700 in total for hotel, airfare, and food as it was all-inclusive ๐Ÿ™‚ We loved it – can’t wait to go back again in the future!
