we’re doing the las vegas thing…neither one of us has been there. ๐Ÿ˜€ it’s going to cost around $2200, but that’s 7 nights at the cosmopolitan, air fare from nashville, rental car, and our spending money and stuff. ๐Ÿ˜€

14 days in Bali – around $6500…includes airfare for 2 (though deduct one of our 1300 airfare gift from family), 4 nights in pool plunge villa, 10 nights in nice hotels, and all the food/drink/excursions/spa-ing we want.

once you GET to Bali it’s like Thailand…very affordable, all price ranges, generally more bang for your buck than any Caribbean/Hawaiian vacation.

We went to California for seven days and traveled all around (San Diego, San Fran, L.A… we did everything!). Including hotels, airfare, rental car, and food/entertainment, our costs were around $2000- not too shabby! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My best advice to you? PRICE-LINE. We stayed at five-star hotels every night and SO never paid more than $75 for a room. We seriously stayed at one hotel that made custom Starbucks drinks and delivered them to your room (sorry, I’m obviously not used to this much extravagance lol)!! He worked really hard to find good deals in advance, but it paid off big time.

My Husband planned our entire honeymoon. He surprised me with it when we got to the airport. We went to DISNEY WORLD! It was so fun.

We’re going to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for 24 nights (including travel). We’ve booked the long-haul flights and two weeks of accommodation through a travel agent for £4039 GBP (c.$6500 USD) and are budgeting £1500-2000 GBP (c.$2500-3250 USD) for another 8 days accommodation, food and internal flights.

At the moment our itinerary looks like this:

  • Fly Glasgow-Dubai-Singapore with Emirates.
  • Five nights Shangri-La hotel, Singapore.
  • Travel to Kuala Lumpur.
  • Two nights KL and trip to Sepang F1 circuit.
  • Fly to Penang.
  • One night Penang.
  • Boat to Langkawi.
  • One night Langkawi.
  • Boat across the border to Koh Lipe, Thailand.
  • Three nights Serendipity Resort, Koh Lipe (including scuba diving and snorkelling)
  • Boat and flight to Bangkok.
  • One night Bangkok.
  • Chauffeur transfer to Hua Hin.
  • Seven nights in a private pool villa at Six Senses Hideaway Hua Hin.
  • Chauffeur transfer to Bangkok.
  • Two nights Royal Orchid Sheraton, Bangkok.
  • Flight home with Emirates – Bangkok-Dubai-Glasgow.

I’ve had SO much fun planning our honeymoon. I’m hoping we can stay a couple of nights in a nice hotel at home in Scotland before we go (I’ve been hinting for Gleneagles).

We aren’t doing anything super expensive. This is a 2nd wedding for both of us and there are 4 kids total between us so we are doing a weekend trip to Tahoe with all 6 of us as a family and then just my fiance and I will be heading down to Disneyland for a couple of days. We’re going to do all the things we can’t do when we go with children like eat at the nicer restaurants. Then we going down to San Diego and staying 4 days at the Coronado on the beach. I’m so excited!!!
