Has anyone done the all inclusives in the Dominican Republic? Those are supposed to be good. That’s what we were thinking but we havent started looking yet. I was thinking Sandals in the Bahamas too but DR might be cheaper.

We decided to do a once-in-a-lifetime trip. We’re going to Moorea for seven nights in an overwater bungalow, which is pretty much my dream vacation. We’re spending about $7,500 for the package, which includes daily breakfast, inter-island transfers, flights from LA and a few other extras.

My fiance and I are doing a crazy road trip. I am finishing my degree online through Penn State, so after the wedding (two months after) in May, we are driving to Pennsylvania for my graduation and then are driving along the east coast and down through the south, before driving back up the midwest to Iowa. Fiance has this goal of going to every state before he is 30. He will be 28 when we get married (I will be 25), so this is the perfect opportunity to visit our great country and to knock those states off of his list. I can’t wait to drive around and experience new things. We are guessing it’s going to cost us between 2,000-3,000 dollars.

@Future Couture: I like it! I wish my Fiance would let us do Disney, but he says not until we take our children. Oh well. Have to make some compromises in marriages.

We are going to Lihue, Hawaii.  I haven’t booked everything yet, but I’m looking on VRBO and homeaway for more affordable hotel/condo options, but I found one on the ocean that’s only $99/night!  I’m really lucky and work for an airline, so our flights are free =)  we are trying to do the whole thing for about $1,000.  We don’t have a ton of time b/c FH is in school and he doesn’t like to go on really long trips, so we’re just going for 3 nights.

We’re going to Negril, Jamaica, staying at Tensing Pen.  We decided we don’t eat/drink enough for an all-inclusive, so will be figuring out meals and activities on our own.  Airfare will be about $1K, a cottage $385/night.  We’ll have plenty of opportunity for spa treatments and jerk chicken!

Just going up to Monterey in Sept to see some car racing.  We’re trying to get prego so $$$$ is going to that.   Once I pop out of a kid, I’m going to DR cause I’ve always been about destination.

My fav places:

Turks and Caicos/Spain

Check out travelzoo.com, airline deals, Livingsocial.com, smarterliving.com, allinclusiveoutlet.com, and google for deals.  Also use tripadvisor.com to see how people really feel about the hotel.  You definintely can find some awesome deals for what you want to spend.

We are spending 2 weeks in Aruba.  I’m hoping it won’t be more than $3000…but that depends on how much we spend on food and activities.  Our airfare was just under $1000, we’re using my parent’s timeshare, so we only have to pay the room tax, and I found a rental car for one week that is just over $100.
