We’re getting married Labor Day weekend and plan to take our honeymoon right after. I reeeaaaally want a relaxing vacation, probably in the carribbean at an all inclusive, but I’m still undecided if it’s the right thing to do. I’m curious, where are you goin?
Answer the poll but please give more details about where you’re going specifically, when, why and how much you plan to spend! Thanks!

We’re going to the Mayan Riviera in the Caribbean, but we are getting married in June. If we had were planning for September, I would have done Europe because prices come way down. I’d also be worried about hurricanes in the Caribbean in September… if you decide to go that route, definitely look into travel insurance.

Mine was last summer but I’ll answer anyway since its the same season.
Darling Husband and I went on a week long Alaskan cruise and it was AMAZING! We get the relaxation of louging around the cruise ship, getting massages in the spa, etc along with the outdoor, adventure fun aspect of salmon fishing, sea kayaking, etc. Alaska is gorgeous and we had an amazing time!

We are getting married labor day weekend as well 🙂 I was hoping to look into Caribbean all inclusive resorts too! So far Ive looked into Mexican honeymoons and I was surprised at how cheap it can be. This board is chocked full of resort recommendations by using the search function.

We’re doing 4 days in Venice then a 2 week Mediterranean cruise. We wanted to pick something we wouldn’t normally do for a vacation (and I’ve never been on a cruise). There are a lot of must visit places on our list but we wanted to pick something that would be adventurous and relaxing. Ours is going to be about 8k– more than I wanted to spend but hopefully worth it!

We’re going to Italy the day after our wedding! I’m so excited for the time away. FI and I have never been to Italy, and after 3 or so days, we get tired of the beach, so a sightseeing/adventure honeymoon was a great choice for us.
We’re going to Venice, Florence (Pisa and Tuscany country side), Rome and Almafi. We budgeted 10K for 14 days, but so far hotels, flights, and train tickets, have only come to 4K, I doubt we’ll spend 6k on food and sights.

We are going on a 7-day cruise that leaves from Miami on Oct. 9. The stops are Bahamas, San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk. Because it is during hurricane season, I like cruises as they can generally get you out of a storm. So, if the weather isn’t good at that time, our stops may change, but that will make it an adventure. You won’t have that luxury if you go to an all-inclusive. Just make sure if you go to the caribbean, you get insurance at that time of year.
Good Luck in choosing!

We’re taking a cruise to Bermuda for our Honeymoon in late October. We wanted to go the all inclusive route but soon realized that first class airfare (which we need since Fiance has back problems and needs to strech his legs) was killing our budget. We’re content with our decision to take the cruise. We’ll have a great time regardless and it’s within budget.

Labor Day weekend here too!!! We are going to Mexico. Five days at the Aventura Palace in Rivera Maya and then we are switching to Le Blanc in Cancun, only bc its one of the only 5 diamond all-inclusives in the world or something like that.
