Munich and parts of Denmark and the Netherlands- still to be determined. We might also do a short layover in Iceland on the way there and get over to Austria after Munich.
We’re going to look at schools for me and possible places of employment for my SO.
We still have to book our flights but we’re trying to figure out which towns we’re definitely going to. It’s so hard to narrow it down.

We’ve just decided/finalized plans to go to Wroclaw, Poland in July for BIL’s vow renewal.

With a probable stop in Prague.

And DH just told me he won enough money at the casino for a quick Vegas weekend in February (I’m so excited about 2 days of sunshine in the midst of this ridiculous cold!).

I don’t know where the 2nd half of the year will take us… there will likely be a NYC trip between Christmas and New Years!

Turkey in March, South Africa in May, Dominican Republic in August, Mexico or Aruba in October, and Nigeria in December. This is a big year of travel for us!
Last year I visited the Netherlands, France, and Ghana, so I’m trying to double the countries this year.
Ive also visited countless states but I don’t really count states as travel.

I am so jealous of you bees who go on MULTIPLE international trips a year! (Although I see that several of you are in Europe anyway, so it’s much more feasible when you don’t have to pay to cross the Atlantic!)
I’m going to England, Scotland, and Wales for a three-week study abroad trip in late April/early May! We’ll be going to Stratford-Upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace), London, Edinburgh, and probably several other places but the itinerary isn’t finalized. I will absolutely be living out my childhood fangirl dreams and visiting the Harry Potter set, as well as Baker Street (Sherlock Holmes). And I WILL find an old blue Police Box if it kills me 😉
DH will be in either Texas or Quantico for training (he’s military) while I’m gone, so he won’t even be there to mess up the house!
Hopefully later this year we’ll both get to go to Disney World and Harry Potter World in Orlando!!!!

@Miss Fish: Yeah, I think being in Europe has been one of the biggest strokes of luck in my life! I love it here…traveling, the food, the atmosphere!
Have fun on your adventures!

Hi Bees,
Some of you asked for me to drop in with updates on my trips, so here is my Italy update:
Pisa-Only need a few hours to see the tower and grab a quick bite to eat.
Florence-Really nice in the off season, even though there are still plenty of tourists, I imagine it is pretty unbearable in the summer.
Cinque Terre- Hike the trail! This was my favorite part of my little trip, so worth it!
Plus, the trains really connect Italy very well, so it was easy to get around. and cheap!

Hi Everyone!
Any new plans or reports about where you’ve been this year? We are leaving for Venice in two weeks and I’m so excited!! This time my hubby gets to come with me (unlike my trip to Cinque Terre) and we get 3 full days there! It will be a great break since I am working 12ish hour shifts the week before…

Not sure how to resize pics and think this one is going to be way too huge but anyway, in 5 days we fly out to:
1 night in Seoul (stop-over), 4 nights in Paris, 3 nights in Saint Malo, 1 night in Athens, Contiki tour in Greece including some islands such as Santorini and Crete, 3 nights in Rome, 2 days in the Cinque Terre, then on to Venice… after which is 3 nights in Prague and then 4 nights in London!
Here’s Mont Saint Michel, one of the many sights we’ll be experiencing.

amyinbrisbane: Ohhhh that looks amazing! I loved, loved Cinque Terre. Definitely do the trail! And the photo you posted is certainly from one of the boat tours, so if you want a shot like that, make sure you look into it, but you can get good ones from the trail/land too 🙂

fvsoccer: We went this past April to Old Monterey in California. SPLENDID! We stayed a B&B that catered to our trip with this package we bought: Aquarium, wine tasting, dinners, etc! Nice California treasure.
this was the Old Monterey Inn

fvsoccer: I hope you enjoy Venice! As you know if you’ve been there before, the blessed Queen of the Adriatic suffers terribly under the stampeding feet of tourists–many of whom, alas, are even more ignorant and obnoxious that the ones you’ll run into in other Italian cities–in the summer months. I still think that excursions in the lagoon (Burano, etc.) are decent in the summer, and night is always amazing there. My Italy trip this summer is largely devoted to the Byzantine (Ravenna, etc.) and the Baroque (Rome, Turin, etc.), but I’m sure I won’t be able to resist a couple of days in Venice.
I’ll be in France in the late winter, spending time around Paris and in Picardie. I am sure that the bleak weather will match the mood of all the WWI commemoratives that will probably be underway.
