For my wedding, I had a pro makeup artist come to us at the church and do makeup for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and the bridesmaids (if they wanted it). It was kinda pricey but she was awesome. I worked with her for my engagement photos also, so by the time the wedding rolled around, she knew my face very well.

You can also go to the cosmetic counters at any department store (namely Macy’s and Dillards). These makeup applications are “complimentary” but it is expected that you’ll buy a product (I usually buy a $20 lipstick or something). Quality can very BUT you can do a trial run at a cosmetics counter just as you would with a hired pro, which can guarantee that you’ll love how you look on your day!

M*A*C did an amazing job for my consult…the only thing is, you have to have a $50 purchase to get it for free.. but I was absolutely in love with it and got several compliments on my makeup just walking down the mall when I was leaving.

I have also been to sephora and they do consults for free. they are great too
