I’m a September girl and we’re headed to Aruba – south of the hurricane zone. Promises to be very hot and sunny! I definitely wanted a very stereotypical honeymoon on a beach somewhere, so we didn’t really look elsewhere.

We’re doing a fall wedding as well.  The South Pacific (Tahiti, Fiji, etc.) is supposed to be great but pricey.  Hawaii is wonderful year round.  We were also considering Napa/Sonoma Valley since we love wine so much.

We’re going to Europe!  Paris, Nice or Cannes, Rome, and Venice.  Possibly Florence.

 Can’t wait!

We’re doing a mini road trip late-October: San Fransisco -> Santa Ynez (wine country!) -> Vegas (a great homebase for heading to the Grand Canyon & Death Valley areas).

We’re from Canada and it’ll all be new sights for us!

We’re doing Turks & Caicos – it is one of the top ten beaches in the world and great for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Wanted to go to Europe but buying a house won that battle so we opted for a cheaper honeymoon. We decided on the Dominican (I know that’s in the Caribbean) but we are now also flirting with Belize in Central America – supposed to be amazing.

  • Wedding: September 2009

We’re getting married 9-26 of this year! We’re honeymooning in Vermont for five days and then NYC for two days (we used to live near NYC, and we had some of our first dates there). We did that because we’re having an out-of-state wedding, so the thought of having to pack for a honeymoon in a far-away land on top of transporting everything else for the out of state wedding just made us exhausted thinking about it. Vermont is a two-hour drive from where we’re getting married, and we pretty much wanted to do nothing but eat and relax and sleep on our honeymoon, so we figured it was a perfect fit 🙂

Plus, we wanted to go somewhere special for our first anniversary, so we decided to go to Italy in a year, and decided a more low-key honeymoon would help us save for that.

We are nuts and going to the Dominican Republic in November. Half of what I have read says to worry about still being in hurricaine season, the other half says its the end and not to care. So we will just cross our fingers and hope for the best! But we are staying at the Excellence in Punta Cana and I can’t freakin wait!

We are getting married September18, 2010 and decided on a relaxing honeymoon in Hawaii.  Tropical yet affordable with great weather year round.  We picked the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu.  It’s the hotel they stay at in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.  We are very excited :o)

We are doing a big trip to Indonesia (probably Bali, Sumatra and parts of Java).  I am definitely most excited about this part of the wedding planning.  Plane tickets are pricey, but everything else is really inexpensive!

My Fiance and I are going to Aruba. With it being hurricane season during the time of our wedding we looked for somewhere that we would be rain and storm free. We met with a travel agent and with a few options we decided on Aruba. The weather is near perfect, there are many activities to enjoy, wonderful food, shopping, and an all around beautiful atmosphere.
