I’m about to go on a huge dress hunt asap!
As for me, this week I’ve made huge diy strides with:
- making mossy initials for display @ reception (might go on doors of church)
- personalized fortune tellers/cootie catchers (3 different versions and might even create a fourth for fun!
- created some adorable flower girl wands b/c they can’t drop petals in the church
I’ve also purchased for less than 1$ at Michael’s yesterday large sand buckets with shovels for the kids and also to hold their favors, some cute citrus/beachy pops there, and am almost done with their favors. Am also going to get in touch w/florist this week and also entertainment too.
Big things on my agenda are getting the last few addresses of who we need to send the save the dates too (going out immediately) and for the invitations.
I’ve also taken a style deviation and changed to a new invitation style, and it’s going to be “us” 100 percent! Even he’s loving it too.
I am also going to be going into high gear w/the house thing..getting it ready to show and to move (it’s a leased home and I broke the lease on the 31st!)
What are you up to?

Hey, Hasn’t the weather been nice? This weekend I planted flowers for the wedding, although I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped. My mom and I are growing sunflowers and zinnias for the wedding for my rustic-style wedding.
I was planning to get fitted for my dress, but I wasn’t able to get that in the plan.
Cheers!

- Wedding: April 2011 - Anthony’s Fine Dining
We still have a while before our wedding (just celebrated our Pre-Anniversary haha) so I’m still in the early stages. I have:
- Selected bmaids
- Booked a venue
- Bought the dress
- Bought shoes to wear during the reception
- Started to envision a theme/plan to accomplish that theme
Now I’m starting to work on DIY Save the Dates…I take the boards for physical therapy in June, so I know I’m gonna need a hiatus from wedding planning in the near future. It’d be nice to have those done so I can just focus on studying for a bit!

Save the dates are in process of going out (first wave has been sent) and I’ve possibly found a florist! Yay! She’s amazing!
On a happy note (Go FI!) He got the reservation fee for the space at our reception venue waved! Woo hoo! He got a good bit refunded!

Congrats SmokieP! Show us some pics!
I don’t think I’ll miss planning. My focus will just shift, that’s all, to designing the interior style of his house. His house is a blank slate…bacheloriffic! Big screen tv, leather sofas, really nice bed and little furniture in a beautiful house! He is having a really nice iron fence put around the backyard for my pooches and stacked stone corners (it’s pretty)!
I just can’t wait until we turn it into our house !

Cool Scissors! Can’t wait to see em’.
Today I did a mock up (first run) of my moss/seashell pomanders and it looked pretty darn good, but I have a few other ideas I am going to do for them for the full out versions of them. Sent out more std’s (dropped them in slot at post office) tonight.

above is the std and the back of the envelope!
*Had to blur out the pertinent info…

That looks fantastic! I love the palm trees throughout. What are you doing for your invites? 🙂
Last night we assembled 21 sets only to realize that we forgot to put stamps on the RSVPs. WOOPS! :p I had to carefully take them apart today and re-assemble.

That sounds like something I’d do! Wow that takes dexterity to be able to re-assemble and then assemble!
I’m working with a designer on the invites now..was going to do a bit more diy and hands on with it (my std’s are semi-diy), but want now something different, but with similar logo (two palm trees for T and I; bigger one is him and shorter one me). I have kinda an idea as to what I want, but she’s on vacation this week so I have to wait until she gets back next week to begin. Bummer.
Can’t wait to see yours!

Well this Thursday my Maid/Matron of Honor and I are doing the tasting at Park Tavern
and meeting with a potential officiant to make sure we like him and get along. Also my bridal shower is this weekend at home (I go to dental school in Boston so not many more times home before August), I am super excited! DIY-wise, not much done due to 9 final exams (#7 of 9 in the morning)!
Bellenga – love your std’s
Scissors – can’t wait to see the finished invites!
