We came home because there were no rooms in town open because of the CWS.  So glad too, I think if we had gotten a room, all I would have wanted was to go home anyway.

We are having our ceremony at a small Bed and Breakfast so we are staying in the honeymoon suite and our close family will be staying in the other 3 rooms. We will have breakfast with them in the morning and have someone drop us off at the airport.  We chose the venue for this reason. I hated the idea of leaving the day of and cutting the fun short just catch a red eye and staying at another hotel away from our families seemed silly and impractical because we have son.

What option are you leaning toward?

Hotel. Our venue is attached to a small boutique hotel (all one company really) and the coordinator at the venue recommends that we book the 4 suites so that we don’t disturb anyone. Even if this wasn’t the case we would still be staying at a hotel in the area since we’re driving to our venue.

We will be staying the night at home. Our church and reception venue are within 10 minutes of home. After our reception we are having  an after party / slumber party at our home for our closest friends.  I’m actually excited about it. We have 3 extra rooms, 3 couches and plenty of floor space if people drink too much. We did something similar for my sisters wedding and we had so much fun.

We are trying to figure that out. We both don’t live where we are getting married so I think a hotel is our best option. Unfortunately all the hotels in the town are booked because it’s college alumni weekend… But it’s southern California do we’ll find something close by

The night before and the night of the wedding I will be staying at our hotel suite.  Fiance will stay at his condo 2 miles away the night before and obviously with me the night of.  We take off for our honeymoon 3 days later as well.  I want to stick around to hang with Out of Town family.

The night before I’m having a sleep-over at MtOH’s place, and I can’t wait. The night of the wedding we get a complimentary suite from our reception venue, so we’ll be turning in there. They allow us to sit in the lounge area for as long as we’d like, so we may be hanging out with guests until 3 or 4. I’ll be glad to have a place to crash right down the hall.

This was a point of contention with us for awhile, because Darling Husband always prefers his own bed, and I felt like I wanted to go somewhere nice and special since it’s not just any other night. His main issue was he says he can never fall asleep in hotel beds because they’re not comfortable enough. I ended up getting my way and we stayed at the Dearborn Hyatt (also where my parents stayed on their wedding night! thought that was kinda funny), but I specifically picked a hotel that had special very comfortable mattresses, haha.

We got married about an hour away from our house, so we stayed in a hotel the night of our wedding.

We stayed in a self-contained cottage that operates as a bed and breakfast.  We had planned to stay in a local hotel but there was a huge event on in town the weekend of our wedding and all the accommodation was booked up almost a year in advance (I kid you not!).

It was actually really lovely to go back to a whole house just for us and we spent an hour or so just chilling, unwinding and eating Macca’s before we went to bed, it was great!
