I’ll be traveling home from work. If I feel super luxurious I may stop at Ross before whisking my child away from her grandparents.

Darling Husband and I are going to Ireland/N. Ireland for 2 weeks in early July. It’s sort of a 5 year anniversary celebration, or at least that’s what we’re telling ourselves. We are renting a car (sort of scary to drive on the left but oh well!) and will be staying in Dublin, Cork, Galway (making a day trip down to the Cliffs of Moher from here), Belfast, and Ballintoy which is very close to the Giant’s Causeway. Other than accomodations, we really don’t have plans in any of the cities besides wandering around and finding pubs to stop in for a drink/meal which I am super excited about.

We’re nervous about driving but I am excited to see the country while we are doing so!

We just got back from Florida, which was our first week long vacation away since our honeymoon. We’ve put off travelling since buying a house as most of our spare time has gone into renovations.  We are planning a big trip for our 5 year anniversary to Israel (but that’s a ways off)  This summer we are going camping up in the mountains and then to a big music festival in Newport RI.  I don’t like traveling too much in the summer because our summers are short and I want as much beach time as possible. I might plan a solo trip to Germany next year to visit my friend.

laceyjoxo :  I should have also mentioned that if you are at the dock that is in downtown Charlotte Amalie (my spelling is probably off lol), I think there is a ferry right there that will take you to St. John, so you only have to go to Red Hook if you are at Haven Sight.

I’m still so bummed they changed our St. Thomas port.  I was so looking forward to going to Trunk Bay on St. John and snorkeling with our group.  It is so beautiful there!

socalgirl1689 :  Make sure you go to Barcelona.  It is very tourist friendly and just so much to see and do you can spend a whole day just walking around Las Ramblas.

Oh man you bees have awesome trips planned! Both domestic and international. Keep them coming!

We’re heading to Chicago for a long weekend in June, Chicago bees; let me know if there’s something we can’t miss seeing…

that’s all we have planned so far for this year. Too much house stuff this year but hoping next year we can take a bucket-list trip (or maybe start a genealogy trip list)

Everyone has so many great trips coming up!

We are out on our sailboat at least once a month sailing around BC (Canada) for 2-3 days at a time. In July I’m driving down to Reno for a few days with my mom and one of her friends so they can go to a conference and I can hang out by the pools at the hotel.

In September/Oct my husband and I are heading to Europe for 5 weeks. We’re starting with a 250km Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, then heading to Munich for 4 days and running the Munich Marathon (I’ve been raising money for Type 1 Diabetes for the last 6 months for it), and then going to the South of France where my Mom and Grampa will meet up with us and we’ll rent a canal boat and spend 10/11 day on the Canal du Midi. We are planning to spend several months a year doing that starting in the next few years, so we figured we better try it out!

After that, I’m hoping for Tokyo for the Olympics next year (I used to live there and it’s been way too long since I was back) and my uncle just moved to the BVIs, so I imagine we may go visit him down there at some point, depending where they end up (they’re living on their boat so there’s a relatively wide range of locations they may spend time in). No firm plans yet, though!

Fun thread!

My dad and I are going to Japan in July (Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka). We’ve been talking about doing this for most of my life, so we’re very excited!

fromatoz :  We want to take our horses in! If we don’t get to it this year it’ll be on next year’s list for sure. So many great areas in this state.
