We’re sticking close to home this summer (3 long weekend trips of 4-6 days to our family’s mountain cabin) to save money and vacation time, since we’re going to Paris for 8 days in October (honeymoon). After that, we’ll probably head up to DC in December, New Orleans in the spring, and then in 2020 we’ll try to get in 1-2 stateside trips (looking at Denver or NYC), since we’re hoping to save for a house and, at some point, a baby.
Some trips are on the list for after kids, like Spain and Hawaii. My mom also recently announced to me that she’d love to take me and a hypothetical baby to Italy for a “girls trip”. Fiance would love to go to Japan, so that’d be a fun one to do too.

No where! 2018-2020 is dreadfully absent of travel for Darling Husband and me. He took a new position about a year ago and hasn’t wanted to take time off since. I’ve taken trips with out him and he’s taken at least one trip without me, but we haven’t been on a trip together in nearly a year and a half!
We have recently discussed two getaways: a week in Mexico in late October and a family (us + pups) road trip south over the winter holidays. No firm commitments to either so far though. For our next bigger trip I have my sights on Spain this time next year. I have a rough itinerary in mind of starting in Barcelona then flying to Bilbao, driving the basque region, then up the Atlantic coast of France before departing from Paris. I’m sure I’ll rework that a hundred times before the trip though.
Jealous of everyone else’s travels! Enjoy!

nemi : Beautiful! I’d also love to go to Cinque Terre – too many wonderful places to see all in one trip. My fiance has been to Cinque Terre, although when he was a kid, so we decided on Amalfi since neither of us have been there.

We always used to visit resorts, but next time we are thinking about going on a cruise. We’ve already found the best cruise deals https://travelsites.com/best-cruise-sites/ and can’t decide which one to choose, a six night cruise in Croatia and Greece or a Disney cruise. Does anyone have cruise experience? Which one can you recommend?

We’ve got a few trips planned! Soon we are doing 5 days in Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia. Then at the start of next year we are going skiing in Bulgaria and doing a road trip up to the Scottish Highlands with our dog. In June we are doing a road trip around Ireland and then at the end flying from Dublin to Portugal for a week. Very lucky, very excited!!

We’ve just booked a spontaneous last minute weekend to Santander in Spain for our anniversary. I know nothing about it but it seems nice and relaxed! Food, wine, sea, sun (hopefully).

Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, and the Japanese Alps for 2 weeks in late October (1st wedding anniversary). Then San Miguel, Mexico for a friend’s wedding in November, and finally our usual Christmas in Sarasota, Florida with the inlaws in December. I am planning our Japan vacation right now entirely around food. Can’t wait. Fun to hear about everyone’s plans!!

Las Vegas baby!! We are going for 4 nights in October. I am super excited. We have never been to<strong style=”background-color: transparent; color: #000000; font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; letter-spacing: normal; min-height: 0px; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;”> Vegas and have never flown together. I actually have only been on a plane like 3 times. We got a luxury suite in a swanky hotel and I promise in front of all of you bee’s that I will only jokingly ask fiance to elope in a cheesy Vegas chapel 3 times and never when he’s drunk. I’m going to do some shopping at my part-time job (lingerie shop) and we are going to have soo soo so much fun!! This is like the first real vacation we are taking by ourselves. Every other vacation has been with either his family or my mom and we both are just ready to be alone and relax!
