Bali. I am going with a friend who has never flown and is terrified of it. I am not that great about flying myself, but l am going to have to lift my game and look after her .Eek.
Later in the year Singapore with h. He can look after me, unless my altruistic behaviour has completely cured me ha ha.

I love hearing about all of these vacay plans! 🙂
Hubby and I are headed to the Caribbean in February! Looking forward to it! We will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We got married really young and always promised we would do a big trip at year 5. Very excited!

Don’t worry about the plane crashing. Statistically it’s very unlikely to occur. Worry about the tedium of air travel and your baggage arriving. I just spent 1.5 hrs yesterday sitting on the tarmac at our local airport because they couldn’t get a jetway. After a 2 stage trip across the US to Lake Tahoe/Heavenly that was the last straw. We didnt get home until 2am.

my fiance and I are doing Singapore and bali for our honeymoon in september! I would love to hear about your trip.
I’ve done a few long haul flights but nothing ever this long (Toronto to singapore) I am a bit nervous/dreading the flight but I know it will be worth it. My dream would be to upgrade to business class but its so expensive!

I’ve got a 17 day trip to Japan booked in April. We’ve been 4 times before and made good coverage of the country but this time we are going to thoroughly explore some of the more southern cities, most excited for Miyazaki.
Now we are looking at our fall trip, which will likely be Finland and Estonia and maybe a day trip over to St. Petersburg, Russia if we can swing it.

Our next trip is a week at a dive resort in Roatan in March. Last year was a fairly big travel year for us, so we are taking it easy (i.e. replenishing the vacation savings account lol) this year. Last year we did a week on a catamaran in the Exumas with six of our friends, a week in Paris and Bordeaux (a highlight was dinner at a 3 star Michelin restaurant), a few days diving in Cozumel, a week diving in Bonaire, and then some various smaller trips like a long weekend in NYC, a few long weekends in Florida, a mountain trip with the kids. Other than Roatan, our travel this year will be camping, inexpensive air bnbs, and mostly affordable long weekends.

We did Paris and Bordeaux in the spring! Have you been before? When do you go (or did you already)?

I am originally from St. Petersburg Russia. I am russian-finnish. The only good time to visit St. Petersburg is summer. Period. Trust me :)) Would say similar things about Finland.
For those who go to Bali – I have freinds – expats living there and many friends who visited. Bali is really overrated, the beaches are not nice, unless you live in close proximity. You are overpaying for the experience.
Now is not a good time to plan trips, weddings etc. I travel all the time but I am taking a break. I almost got stuch in a foreign country and let me tell you – it’s not fun.
