I have a 1 carat cushion diamond that I would like to put in a white gold double prong basket solitaire setting. At this point, I am getting so deperate for a setting that I would settle for just a basic four prong solitaire but the local jewelers around me either don’t stock them and want to make a custom one or won’t set a cushion in a 4 prong setting because it will fall out. I have seen some settings I like online but I have yet to find a place that will sell one to me without me buying a diamond too. I see that lots of Bees have purchased settings for their loose diamonds. Where can I buy just a setting? Thanks in advance!

look up ivy and rose they have some very fun things and seem to be so reasonable 🙂 OR maybe a local independent jeweler?

Do any of your local jewelers offer Stuller settings? Stuller has thousands of setting, but they don’t sell direct. However, most jewelers in my area use them and charge for the setting and the cost to mount the stone (will vary by jeweler, so definitely shop around). You can check out Stuller’s website for all their options. Their site also has a jeweler search, but it doesn’t list all the jewelry’s that offer their stuff.

I have set several loose stones in settings from Etsy. I just had a setting made for my 1ct princess cut by an Etsy seller…WinsomeGift, and I love it. You can find settings on Etsy, EBay, and Amazon. It sounds like what you want is specific so I would try getting quotes from Etsy sellers. My setting only took 2 weeks to make and a couple days to be delivered and set by my local jeweler.
Also this may sound crazy but a way I have found that is cheaper than buying just a setting is to purchase a ring with the same size stone as the one I’m setting. I had a 2ct oval moissanite that I wanted in a basket setting with a flat band in 14k rose gold and everywhere I looked and got quotes from wanted $600 and up. I kept looking and found the exact setting on Etsy, Zhedora, with a cubic zirconia of the same dimensions in it for $250! It is solid 14k rose gold and has the basket setting and flat band that I wanted and the price was insane compared to the quotes I had gotten so I bought it. I took that ring and my moissanite to my jeweler and he took out the cz and put in my moissy for $60 bucks!! So I got what I wanted for $310 which was almost half the price as the cheapest quote.
I kind of did the same thing for my princess cut diamond, I had several quotes from Etsy sellers and they were all higher than I wanted to pay. I kept looking and came across WinsomeGift, he had a ring with an Alexandrite in it that was exactly what I wanted so I asked him to quote customizing it to my diamonds dimensions and the price was amazing!!! The Alexandrite that was already in the ring was about the same dimensions as my diamond so I could’ve probably bought it as is and had it removed and my diamond placed in it but I wanted it to fit my diamond perfectly since it was a halo. I ended up paying a little more since it was customized than if I had bought it as is but it was still cheaper than all the other quotes I had gotten by half!!
Sorry for the long post but I love sharing this tip because it can save you guys some money! GL I hope you find the setting you want and keep us posted.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, you all were very helpful and I got to explore some new ideas!! I did end up finding a Stuller setting that is close enough to what I was looking for that my jeweler is willing to set my diamond in.
