My wedding dress is super elegant and simple, so I’d like to find a chunky, bright statement necklace that I can wear with it.
I love these, by dana leblanc:
But I really need to try something on before I buy it. Especially bc I’m short and need to make sure I’m not going to be weighed down or overpowered by the necklace.
I’d be grateful for any suggestions of stores or boutiques in NYC or Brooklyn where I could find similar necklaces. Thanks!

On Broadway between Broome and Canal, on the east side of the street, there are several jewelry stores that sell awesome cheap jewelry ($15 and under usually). I got stuff for my wedding there. I loved that along with my diamonds I was wearing $3 bracelets.
Just take the R to Prince or the 6 to Spring and walk down Broadway from there (on the east side of the street) and there are at least a few stores.

I’m not sure what your budget is but I would check out some of the street vendors down in SoHo. In particular there is a guy that is usually set up near the JCrew on Prince Street that has very similar styles to Dana LeBlanc.

thank you – great suggestions already! street jewelry in soho is an awesome idea that I will definitely check out – usually I ignore it because I am trying not to spend money, but a wedding is a pretty good excuse 🙂

I got gorgeous chunky bling chokers and bracelet/cuffs and hair stuff from the jewelry stores on 6th Avenue in the mid-30s (about 5 stores on East side of the Avenue). Like $15 apiece too! But so very pretty!

How about Laila Rowe? I think it is a chain, but they have pretty inexpensive stuff if you are just looking to get an idea of size/colors.
