Not sure if it’s the same, the one in your picture looks more delicate but could just be the picture quality? I don’t know! Tongue Out

Theyre very similar, but I like the delicacy of the original post.  Is that Kwait band really 5k+. Seriously wondering what kind of marijuana their pricer smokes!

Bet you could have one custom made for easly half if not less and you could have it made in to a 3/4 etrnaty and that will bring the price down to I have a ring that i had made with the twisted sides it cost alot but not $5000+

@misspj3:  I too found this photo on Pinterest just last week. This is my first post here on the forums cuz I wanted to help you in your search πŸ˜‰

I am obsessed with finding this band, lol! My Boyfriend or Best Friend and I decided just this past weekend that we want to get engaged very soon so we can start planning our wedding for next year. He wanted to take me ring shopping, but deep down I really wanted it to be a surprise proposal so we would have a fun story to tell πŸ™‚ However the control freak in me wanted him to get me the exact ring I wanted, since I would be the one wearing it. I had always liked the look of princess and cushion diamonds, and not really found or rounds except when set in bands. That was until I found that Pinterest photo.

I have seen many halo rings and thought that would be the best way to achieve the bling I wanted. So I decided to go a jeweler on my own, try on the few styles I liked and then tell him which style I wanted so he could purchase one that fit his budget. I also wanted to see what carat size I liked best, but after trying on a carat and then a 1.5, I nearly had a coronary when I saw the price tags. I figured I’d prolly be stuck getting a small stone with a halo just to make the ring look bigger.

In my search for rings, I found this photo. I instantly fell in love and the hunt began. I knew that I wanted at least a carat, but with how flipping expensive they are, I knew I could not get both a big solitaire AND this type of band. That’s when I discovered the Amora moissanite. I am so freaking excited, cuz now I can have the both the big solitaire in that classic 4 pring setting and have a sparkly band that can stand alone. Win! I showed my Boyfriend or Best Friend this picture and he loved how both delicate and classic this combo is. He also loved the idea of the moissanite and real diamond band combo. Phew! Glad he’s ok with the moissy like me. No one will be able to tell the difference anyways πŸ˜‰

Anyways!! Here’s what I’ve found. The first band I found was the Kwait one. Shreve & Co carries Kwait and so does Nordstrom, so my hunt began there. Nordies had the two row band there and it was a showstopper! It was so petite and delicate, just like in the Pinterest image, but I just really like the three row better. They said they can order it for me. However even with the money we are saving by getting a moissy, the price bothers me, so I have kept looking.

Hidalgo makes a three row braided band as well and it is a lot less that Kwait’s. Shreve is also an authorized seller so I’m hoping they can show me this ring in person as well. It can be made as a half or full eternity, and they make it in platinum, which I want my moissy set in, so this may be the route I go. I just want to see it first to make sure it has the same delicate look as the Kwait one.

Sparks also makes one too, but the carat wt is tiny, so it won’t have the same impact like the others band will.

Hope this helps!! Thanks for reading my long post, just so excited I can’t help it. Sent him the email will all my rings deets. Now I’m just (impatiently, lol!) waiting πŸ˜‰ If anyone’s interested, I can post a pic when I get the combo together.

@misspj3:  That is so sweet of you to follow up!  He proposed back in October with the 1.5 Amora moissanite ering. I started looking at possible bands to show him and ordered a three row woven band from Fantasy Jewelry Box just to see if I even liked the style. I decided in the end that wide bands just weren’t for me. I did still want a band though that would hold it’s own when I wasn’t wearing my ering. I also really like the idea of stacking rings to suit my mood πŸ™‚ My fiance wanted to go traditional for his ring and is getting a yellow gold band. Yellow gold has really grown on me since I got my gold MK watch. I also thought it would be romantic if I got a yellow gold band to match my FH. I like mixing metals so this was perfect for me. I’ll attach some pics for fun ;D

Here is the three row woven band. It was all a bit too much on my size 6 finger…

Here is what sealed the deal on me getting a gold band. Love that she stacked a flat yellow gold band with an eternity band!

We were out ring shopping and we popped into Tiffany’s just for kicks. I ended up falling in love with the Novo band. The total cost for my set was around $2k and I’m totally stoked!

I already had a 1ct Memoire eternity band. I plan on stacking that when I feel like a little more bling πŸ˜‰

and with just the eternity band and wedding band…

Cheers!

I know this thread is so incredibly old, but since I found it I’m assuming other people might interested in the same thing. Brilliant Earth sells a wedding band exactly like the braided one! My engagement ring is from BE and their prices are great and the customer service is incredible.
