What is a “fair” price? Do you have a budget? Are you looking for as cheap as possible? Do you care if it’s natural or lab made?

Whatswrongwithpeople :  Chatham lab created might be a good option, but I’m not sure what your version of “affordable” is.

I highly reccomend a Chatham lab sapphire! They have three colors of blue – I ordered the lightest one and it’s stunning!  Pricing is great as well. Here are some photos in different lighting:

This Bee had a positive experience working with Stag and Finch.  I didn’t re-read it all to remember where they’re based out of if customs fees is an issue.  She got a beautiful lab sapphire for a great price.  I remember checking the website of the seller and they didn’t have specific stones listed for sale or pricing models.  Instead they ask you to enter what you’re looking for and they get back to you.  Unless they’ve changed things… I don’t know.

I’ll second Stag and Finch! They have a periwinkle sapphire that’s to DIE FOR! And very reasonable too! Also miossaniteco has a light blue sapphire that’s gorgeous too and there’s are even cheaper I believe.

If you want to go the lab sapphire route, I’ve had a positive experience with Jeulia. They offer some build your own options. While you can do moissy and gold in this setting, I took a screenshot of their cheapest option of sterling silver (925) and their lab white sapphires.

I know someone that used this seller before and said they have fast shipping and great stones. Their sapphires are beautiful, they have a good amount of loose ones, and they are excellently priced. They have a ton of great reviews, 5 star overall rating,  so I suggest checking them out.

tetonlove :  I’ve ordered a few rings from Jeulia and they’re surprisingly very good quality. Mine have held up very well over the years.

My SIL and I both got our sapphires from Shane Co and were happy with our experience

I 3rd Stag & Fitch! You can talk to Bryan and he can source rough or cut a lab stone for you. He does beautiful work. They are in Canada so custom’s fees may apply depending on price.

I have also had many stones cut from this reddit group:

A group of US based small lapidaries that do precision cuts. I think they do a lot of sapphire requests.
