ALSWM:  It depends on which stores are available where you live. Other than that, Amazon has most anything and they do have a registry available.

You can register for china, crystal and silver at SilverSuperstore.com.  Might I suggest that you look at the current price of real silver flatware before you become too attached to the idea?  When I made my registry about 2 years ago it ranged from $800-1200 per place setting and I decided it would be impractical to register for such an expensive item.  If you go to home stores like Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel or Williams Sonoma, they sell lovely, high quality stainless that’s closer to $50-100 per place setting, with no polishing required.  This is still far more than aluminum, but much more affordable for those of us whose budgets don’t have room to buy all those silver settings.

ALSWM:  This is a good question! I hope you get some viable answers.

My thinking for my wedding guests is that the people that would give such a gift would probably not be comfortable in buying it online and/or would want to see it in person. So are there any brick and mortar stores with these items?
