@jrzvol:  I’m currently looking for a square brilliant and curious about the sparkle factor/ Is it sparkly or dullish??

I think $450 seems really high vs. $650 original price (I have a moissanite ring too). The reality is that “used” jewelry loses a ton of the value versus new, even with diamonds (can’t sell them for anywhere near what they appraise at for replacement value). I wouldn’t consider a second-hand engagement ring for a $200 difference.

I hope I’m wrong, but honestly, I think you’ll be lucky to get anything more than $200 – $250 out of it. Definitely try to get great photos of it in good lighting and maybe a video if you can. I think that would help. The snapshot you posted isn’t doing it any justice.

@NAvery:  +1

just saw on the Bistro a 1/2 ct genuine diamond solitaire that sold for $599.

I think $150-$200 for your ring is reasonable. The setting is nice.

Good luck, congrats on your new ring!

@NAvery:  I completely agree. I think it’s a lovely ring (in fact, I want it! Lol) but for only a difference of $200 I’d just sooner buy the original off the website, vrs. A used ring that’s already been sized to someone else’s finger. Personally I’d pay $200.

Try pawn shops in your area. But PPs are right regarding the resale value of jewelry. It’s not much at all.

I would pay over 200 considering the original price and ITA you need better photos

I think you can get $300 on the Bistro with better pics. Moissy’s are crystal clear and that one looks a little cloudy. Is it just the photography?
