We went to Maui. I only went once when I was a kid and my husband has never gone and international travel was out of the question…we didn’t get husbie a passport in time, oops! But the trip was a gift from his parents, they paid for airline tickets and the room and we were there for a week. Literally alternated between laying by the pool and on the beach it was amazing.

We’re going to Thailand for 2 weeks to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Krabi!  I can’t wait!  Our wedding was in September but we decided to wait to for our honeymoon since the weather in Thailand then is very rainy so we’re going the first 2 weeks of November.  I’m counting down…only 3 more weeks till we leave!

courtneysokal: Of course it’s not letting me tag you! I’ve heard that a lot of Turkey isn’t too bad, but our wedding is still a year away, so I’m afraid to book it and have it get worse. I also work for a federal agency and have more travel restrictions, so if my work decides not to approve trips to Turkey, I’m screwed out of our money 🙁 Right now we’re allowed to go, but a couple other agencies have already started telling their employees “no” so it’s a gamble.

yorkshirerose:  the studio put up some of our photos on facebook! they were super helpful. we skyped with them before we went so that we could get to know each other better and also talk about the kind of “feel” we wanted for our photos. during the photoshoot itself, there were 2 assistants to help carry props and things around, and they even run over to cover me with jackets in between shots because it was so cold! it was like i was a movie star heh. they have translators who speak other languages (we asked for someone who speaks english, but the translator was more comfortable in mandarin, whic we speak to, so we communicated in mandarin). would totally recommend them if anyone wants to take pictures in japan! they have several branches in different cities, but we went to the one in kyoto so we could get shots of the cherry blossoms in arashiyama and the bamboo grove.

pmcgann:  the honeymoon was the first thing we booked (seems to be the more important feature of the crazy wedding planning,  LOL!).  We’re going to the Cook Islands – I truly recommend it, perhaps as a first year anniversary trip or babymoon.

noanoa:  I used to live in Napa, and still go there a lot (I currently live in Sacramento which is about an hour east from Napa). My biggest suggestion is go there during the week. You will have a more enjoyable time as it gets CRAZY on the weekends (single lane highway a lot of the times that backs up for miles).
