hey guys, i know most of us are familiar with moissaniteco , but now and then on these boards I see ppl mention that their moissy rings are made by other companies/people. If you have a moissy engagement / wedding ring – where did u purchase it ? Are their prices better than moissaniteco ? Do u recommend them?
i love tiffany and co. ‘s ornate legacy setting and moissaniteco does a replica but in terms of the moissy rings market , is this company the most affordable?

amy102: Hi, my ring is from Joseph Schubach Jewelers. I definitely recommend them. My Fiance and I designed my ring and had it custom made. Beth and Joe were AMAZING to work with and their customer service was really exceptional. I will buy all of my jewelry from Schubachs going forward. Beth will hand pick your stone if you ask. In addition to the best customer service she is also very popular for having a great eye for selecting the whitest and best cut moissy. I’m not sure about prices in comparison to MoissaniteCo because I was looking for custom work. Schubachs was very reasonably priced.
Best wishes on finding your e-ring! I hope you find one you love!

I ordered from moissanite.com because they ended up having a better price when we were actually ready to order my ring. Otherwise, I would have ordered from moissaniteco.com. I also considered Schubach’s because of this site, but it would have been more expensive.

My setting was handmade by a local, artisan jeweler

An Etsy shop. I believe they get their moissanites directly from Charles & Colvard: not sure. I’m thinking about purchasing some stud earrings from moissaniteco though.

My first moissanite ring was from moissaniteco. In the long run I wasn’t happy with the color of unenhanced moissanite or the carat weight I chose. My second and forever ring, I got from a family jewelry store. They deal with Stuller Settings. I went through the massive catalog and chose the Stuller Solstice ring and matching wedding band. My Forever Brilliant moissanite was purched from them as well.

Mine was custom made at Schubach’s. My frist ring was from Moissaniteco.com and didn’t work out. If you’re looking to get something with a lot of pave or an intricate design I’d recommend Schubach’s. Beth was amazing to work with and I couldn’t love my ring anymore than I do. I had a vision of what I wanted and they 100% made exactly what I was envisioning.

I have purchased rings from both Joseph Schubach’s and Moissaniteco.com.
Schubach’s was hands down (in my experience) better to work with. Beth is amazing, kind, patient, responsive, and their pricing is reasonable. It seems to me that they offer a higher quality product, but I only have one Schubach piece compared to 3 moissaniteco.com purchases. Any work I have done in the future will be done through Schubach’s.

We are doing an online/brick and mortar hybrid. Bought the stone from Schubachs (FB round brilliant beauty!) and SO is working with a local jeweler (not sure which one since I’m out of the process now) to purchase a setting from (they will also set the stone). He was more comfortable with a local jeweler.
In the end, we actually found 3 jewelers (not the big chain stores) who would work with moissy, one was very enthusiastic about it!

My ring was made by Patti Collins of a Denim and Diamonds on Etsy. She was awesome to work with!
