Definitely try etsy. Also, how about a sprakly headband? They add glam and some shiny dangle earrings. There’s an etsy shop called Glam House that has very beautiful sashes, headbands, etc. Where is your wedding at? 🙂

Definitely Etsy! Twigs and Honey is a good shop online for inspiration but they are a leeetle on the pricey side.

I’m not sure if it’s the most economical option, but I really loved the Vera Wang sashes at David’s Bridal. Organza and beading. I didn’t end up buying, but they jazzed up the dresses I was considering at DB.

@MM423: I see what you are saying! A sash sounds like the perfect way to bling it up. Hope you find one you like! and post pictures 🙂

Is the belt that comes with your dress sewn into it?  I’m having similar buyers’ remorse with my dress, although it might be nerves since I haven’t seen it in over 5 months.  I actually had your dress in my inspiration file and ended up buying a dress almost identical to yours.  But I’m starting to feel like I need a little more bling around the waistline.  However, the beaded “belt” on my dress is sewn into it, so adding a belt over it might be difficult.

This is my dress as well! I struggle with second guessing myself too, but when I’ve got glammed up and put the dress on it’s perfect for me. the fact that the dress is simple makes it classic and elegant – remember that and i wouldn’t go overboard even though I do think it’d look nice with another sash

I am in the same situation. My dress is very simple from the front. I tried it on in the bridal store with a bridal belt but am NOT willing to buy it for $500.

Have you seen those Chinese wedding dress manufactures online and on Ebay? Their dresses are usually custom made for under $200, so I’m currently trying to email one of them to sell me just the rhinestone trim for the belt.

Is anyone else having luck with this?

I spent HOURS looking for a sash on etsy. I was trying to buy an appliques or brooch and just make my own, but that proved to be just as tiresome as looking for the full sash.  Plus, you never really know what the sash looks like until you get it…

I did find some really nice ones at weddingfactorydirect.com

Finally I just settled on the Embellished Sash from David’s Bridal, it’s only $60 bucks.
