I’m looking at both tungsten and titanium bands, but I have heard that there are many knock offs out there. Some posts say they bought theirs for as little as 50$, while others say $200+. We are broke college students and are looking good deals but also good rings. Also, what should I look for in a tungsten or titanium ring?

We bought my husband’s Tungsten ring on ebay and it’s really nice. And really inexpensive too:) It was about $30.00 Just stay out of brick-and-mortar jewelry stores and you’ll save a lot of $$.

I got my Darling Husband ring from JVL Jewerly. It’s tungsten and he loves it. If you got to the site and enter the code BRIDES (I just checked it and it still works) you get the ring for the price of shipping which is $25. It’s nice and heavy and good quality. I’m really happy we got it.

I would agree. We bought my DH’s tungsten ring at our jeweler, but only because we got a significant discount since we already bought my set there. We also got to take it that day because the display ring just happened to fit Darling Husband perfectly.
If we had shopped around, we probably could have gotten a slightly better deal elsewhere, but his ring ended up being covered under my rings’ protection plan, so it worked out to our advantage.
I think we paid about $100 for his after the discount… I think. It was around the same as my plain wedding band.

I’ve seen them on Amazon and overstock too, and in wholseale (BJ’s, costco).
I’m buying his from Etsy. He picked out a sterling silver ring from Silver Sparrow.

We got my husband’s tungsten carbide band from overstock.com for 56 bucks. & The middle of the ring spins! 🙂 He wears it to work & has even worked out while wearing it without any scratches!
Also it is real tungsten & marked on the inside of the ring.

I agree with avoiding the chain stores. The ring pictured below we purchased from Amazon for $40. It’s identical to one he tried on at Helzberg Diamonds priced at $199. Several sites have great deals on Tungsten- just stick to buing online & you’re good 🙂

@london: I bought my Fiance wedding band at Kohls. it was $200 and I got it for $70. It is ceramic and breaks when squished so it won’t take his finger with it.
