OMG thanks ladies for these sites!  I am attempting a proto-type of a veil in hopes that I can DIY.  But I’ve been scared that if it doesn’t go well I’m going to have to spend $$$$ on a cathedral veil (what I’ve been dreaming of since I was a little girl).  However, I can now rest easy that if my DIY attempt fails I can get my dream veil at a very reasonable cost.

I got a mini birdcage veil from Etsy and love it .. I didn’t try any in shops as I hadn’t planned on wearing one, but this just makes my crystal fascinator, a bit more bridal.

Not me BTW!

My veil from BellaBridalVeils did arrive. The seller made up for the delayed shipment by sending it Express Mail. It’s very pretty and well made. As good or better than anything I’ve seen in a bridal store.

I got a cathedral veil from Light in the Box. It required a little tinkering to get it just right, but now I’m very happy with it. The full story and pictures of how it turned out can be found here.

I got mine from david’s bridal… I was too nervous about getting it from somewhere else and having the shade of ivory be wrong. I just ordered it last week and it was on sale for $30 less ($79 originally, only paid $49)so maybe check back?

I ordered mine through my bridal shop. It’s REALLY nice and I got $75 off for buying my dress there. I think it was $145 after the discount.

I bought mine through Etsy! Fell in love with an ivory elbow length veil with satin trim at a bridal boutique but they wanted $200 which I just couldn’t fathom! So, I spoke with Wendy Pruett from “foreverveils” – gave her the dimensions of the veil and she made it for $30! Came out great 🙂

I got mine from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CorrineONeill   and it’s beautiful.  I accidentally ordered the wrong color, and had to order a new one in the correct color, which Corrine was super-nice about.  And if anyone is looking for an elbow-length white veil with flower petal embellishments, drop me a PM.

so glad to find this. Bought the dress yesterday, and the simple cut edge tulle cathedral veil was $279. I almost puked. My mom was like, oh just get it, and stop worrying about it, don’t nickel and dime, etc. Once I show her the same veil for $20-30 on Ebay, I think she might change her tune!

I bought mine at bridalveilcreations.com- they had the one I fell in love with at the Alfred Angelo store by me for a lot less.. It’s the same veil, same model #, etc.

I’m very happy with it!! I just have to figure out how to get the fold wrinkles out of it (it’s a cathedral length) LOL…
