I tried to keep mine at belly button level. I did pretty well on the walk down. We were kind of dancing on the way out so they ended up a bit higher.

I fretted about this and on the day of my dress wasn’t hemmed short enough and I ended up having to use my flowers to hold my dress up discreetly (thank goodness for my amazing chapel coordinator).  Day of you probably won’t even think of it and as a Bridesmaid or Best Man and a bride I’ve always felt like the dress and size of bouquet dictate a little of how you can actually carry them.

I forgot what my wedding planners said about carrying it crotch level so it was a bit higher. It didn’t really obstruct the view of my dress and I handed it off to my Maid/Matron of Honor during the ceremony so it really only affected a few photos. Luckily in the photos after the ceremony my photographer kept nagging me to hold it lower.

I watched a wedding planning video and the planner says she tells BM’s to remember “crotch flowers”. So, if you want to do it the “right” way  ;;) you should hold them at your crotch. I’ll never remember this as I’m walking down the aisle but oh well.

I thought I was carrying it much lower than this, so I recommend carrying it lower than feels natural :p

@GrannyPantiesRock:  I was being walked down by two people so I held it the best that I could considering the situation haha

@GrannyPantiesRock:  Belly button height would be perfect- nice and low! I’m so mad at myself- kept trying to remember to carry low but when the moment arrived, I carried the bouquet too high and it covered a lot of my dress. Boo:(

The lower the better and angled out about an inch or two…..but as it seems to be stated in this post nerves take over.  Don’t stress about it.
