He hid it in a lamp hahah. At one point he had taken apart a hairbrush and hidden it in there, but he was afraid I’d notice it. He’s pretty creative ahha 😉

In his desk drawer…where I keep the scissors…where I go ALL THE TIME. I almost found it before he proposed. It was literally inches from my hand. Had I just opened the drawer a little more I would have seen it. I don’t know what he was smoking to think that putting it in the least secret place imaginable (well, besides on the kitchen counter) would be a good idea. I would have put it in the safety deposit box. Or hid it in the back of the closet in some papers we never touch. Or in the bottom of something I know he doesn’t touch, like my tampons. Guys…

Fiance put it right in his nightstand haha I never go in his nightstand as its on his side of the bed and I have nothing I need in there. My proposal was a total surprise so I didnt even have the slightest clue it was coming or I would have snooped haha and I definitely would have looked in his nightstand so I say it was a crappy spot even though I didnt find it Lol

My fiance picked the ring up from my sister late one night in the park near our house; he’d coordinated their meeting to align with his nightly walk of our doggie, and snuck the ring into the house hidden in a “dog walking bag” (fortunately he’d brought a couple extras!). From there he hid it in his backpack as we were packing to leave for a vacation the next day, and he tells me he was just petrified the whole flight that it would fall out of the pocket even though it was all zipped up.

FWIW on that trip we went to Vancouver first, then to Sydney and Auckland before coming back to Vancouver and eventually home. He’d planned to propose in Sydney as it’s one of our favorite cities in the world, but did it the first morning we woke up in Vancouver after being so paranoid on that first flight– it’s about a 16 hour flight to Sydney and he would have climbed the walls if that ring wasn’t right on my finger where he could see it!

Where he keeps all his super important stuff, like his immigration papers…in a duffle bag stuffed in the closet.  Yes, you read that right.  LOL.

I did find it before he proposed.  We were moving into a house we got the week before vacation/the proposal.  I had someone going to his condo to clean for the new renter, and he got nervous about leaving his immigration papers there with people he didn’t know because they are like life and death for him.  So, I offered to get them, and he says they are in a “backpack” (I didn’t know about his duffle bag at the time bc no need to ever go in it).  I get there, and grab the only backpack I see, but it feels too light.  So I look in it and see a bottle of wood glue and a single Swifter mop pad (??).  Call him and he said “oh yeah, it’s a duffle bag, not backpack”.  So I grab a duffle bag, and figure I better look in it quick to make sure I got the right one before I leave….open it up lift the first few papers to check what they were, and voila.  Hidden cleverly under a couple pieces of paper was a ring box, just waiting.

So, no I wasn’t snooping at all.  I did tell him a couple days after our wedding that I found the ring ahead of time and knew to the 15 minute timeframe of when he would propose (he was a bit Captain Obvious).  He was kinda irritated for a few minutes because he thought he surprised me but I was like “hey you shouldn’t have basically ASKED me to get my ring, and it’s too late now anyway, sucka!” then he laughed.  😛

He hid it in a drawer in the bedroom.

I knew when he bought it though, he showed it to me and told me he was returning it because it “wasn’t sparkly enough.”  I’m assuming it was his sneaky way of showing it to me to gauge my reaction to it before he actually gave it to me.  I accidentally found it a few weeks later in the drawer only a little while before he proposed.

He hid it in a coat pocket in a closet in our basement.. good spot, I never would of thought to look there.

I have no idea where I would of hid it, if I was proposing to him.. probably where the cleaning supplies are–he’d never look there!

DH hid it in his underwear drawer, which is hilarious because that is one of the first places I looked (yes, I did snoop.  No, I did not find it – I’m so glad I didn’t, it made the surprise of what it looked like so much better).

If I were him proposing, I would keep the ring either in my locked drawer at work, or in the kitchen somewhere: like the cupboard above the fridge that we never end up using.

In our closet under some of his clothes. I knew it was there.

Not sure, but he proposed that night so it might have been on him the whole time!

In a box in his dresser. I know this because the morning he proposed, I saw the box as he got his clothes out for work. Honestly I might not have put two and two together except that I had kind of guessed by that point that he was proposing that evening. Fortunately I was at work all day, or else I’m not 100% sure I would have been able to resist the temptation to open it!

LOL – He won’t tell me where he hid it because he says he still uses that hiding spot for my gifts!!  And since I have yet to figure out where that spot is, needless to say, I didn’t find it ahead of time.

(I suspect it was in his underwear drawer, but he also could have put it in his office closet… even if I knew what I was looking for, I couldn’t have found it in there.)

He had it in his backpack.  When we went through airport security this big muscular security guard winked at FH.  I happened to see the wink.  They ran into each other again before we boarded the plane and the security guard have FH a big grin.  I started joking how maybe FH should take him on this surprise trip instead of me.  Little did I know…

He kept it at the goldsmith shop in their safe and pulled it out the night before. I dunno where he hid it before he asked me, but he said he had the ring box in his pocket before we left the house that day and was scared i’d brush up against it and figure it out.

I don’t ever poke around his things, and he trusted that I wouldn’t .. so he kept it in his bedside drawer LOL
