I haven’t tried them yet but I always seem to hear great things about Candles4less.com. I may actually buy my candles from them. They have a deal for 72 / 73 votives with holder for $36 or something like that.

I got mine from Candles4Less.com… they burned through the entire reception and still have 3-4 hours of burn time left.

I didn’t look for specifically “long” lasting candles but was more impressed with the bulk packages of candles from Target than the ones from Michaels or Wal-Mart.

I used green standard votive candles from Wal-Mart (open stock scented)and they seems to last for the 3 hours of our reception and many had to be blown out at that point.  They were also easy to pop out of the votives afterwards to allow another bride to use the glass votives (purchased from Ikea)

I used white larger votives from Michaels (purchased from open stock invidually) for or rehersal dinner and they were probably the worst.  They burned down to liquid in the short 2 hour period and many put themselves out.  I have been unable to remove them from the glass jars without heating the jars, etc.

My best experience was the white non-scented 6 pack bulk short/fat candles from Target.  They lasted for 4 hours and you can barely tell they were used.  Granted these were a bit larger than a standard botive.  They cleaned up well since I could just simply turn the jar upside down and they fell out.

My suggestion is if you can purchase a few individually buy a couple and test them out.  I wish I’d done that before hand.
