Where did you and your bridesmaids get ready for the ceremony? Did you have enough space? Did the pictures turn out well?
I am looking into a hotel, but with 8 total girls, plus hair and makeup ladies, plus moms and MILs.. I just dont know if that is too crowded!

I rented a suite in the hotel our block was in. It was a bedroom with another room with a couch, etc. It worked out very nicely. My Darling Husband and I slept in the suite after the wedding.

How big is the hotel room? A friend of mine got ready in a hotel room, but she had a suite (there was a room with the bed, and then a door and almost like a living room. I had a very similar set up in December at an Embassy Suites (I was at a conference, and I loved that it also had a mini fridge and microwave). A standard hotel room may be a bit crowded, but it also depends on what all you are doing. Are you having a hair and/or makeup person coming to you or are you going to them, or doing it yourself?
Not sure if my answer will help at all, but we got ready at home. My partner and i eloped at City Hall – no wedding party, no family. He offered to get me a hotel room if i wanted, but I was more comfortable doing it this way. In retrospect, I kind of wish we had some photos of us getting ready – I did text my friend a picture of me with rollers in though. If we had a wedding party, we would have had enough room in our house, although I can imagine we would have people getting ready in our living room

Fiance will be getting ready at our apartment, and I along with my BMs will be getting ready at one of my BM’s houses. We are doing hair and makeup at the house, then getting dressed in a room available at the church.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We had a large (3 room) bridal suite in our venue (a bed and breakfast) for getting ready. There were 10 people and we had plenty of space. One of the many reasons we chose our venue was because of the bridal suite. It was plucked straight out of my dreams.

I’ve got to figure this out for myself too. I hate my apartment (even after 5 years! Lol) but it is our home for now; It’s too dark and ugly – so I don’t really want to get dressed there. My whole family is coming out of town, including a bridesmaid, so maybe there’ll be rooms available at the hotel… There will be four of us plus my parents. Not sure what to do.

we had a suite in the hotel where our reception was. it had a normal size bedroom and a huge separate living room. we had it for the night before and the night of the wedding. we didn’t have a bridal party though so space wasn’t an issue. getting ready pics came out great.

My venue has a huge bridal suite complete with showers, vanities, etc so we (7 of us) will be getting ready there.
