@kerensa:  We found a hole in the wall place that ordered Coasterfurniture and we probably saved triple what we would have spent at room and board!

I found a nice hardwood IKEA bed that had been discontinued a few years back on Craigslist. It’s amazing what you can find if you have the patience and the time (to wait for listings to show up). It’s similar to the Hemnes line and in a medium brown wood stain. I think I’ll eventually paint or stain it (a darker color to match our nightstands and armoire or white to make it stand out) but for now I don’t have the space to try that.

The bed that I want is from Ethan Allen. Unfortunately, Mr. LK is not sold on it. 🙁 The bed that he likes is from Crate & Barrel.

We got our bed set from my mom… King size, the senior residence she moved into couldn’t have  a King Size bed, the room is small, so she got a Queen.

We got our bedroom set from Costco. Their prices were comparable to the home stores like Living Spaces and Macy’s, but they had free delivery and their service was much better. The delivery guy calls you when he’s on his way to your house, about 10 minutes out, so you’re not stuck at home waiting for 4-6 hours.

I can’t remember for sure – I think Walmart, but we saw he set for sale on Amazon and on Target… We obviously just bought it where it was least expensive 🙂

We built it!  we based it off an Anna White design.  Darling Husband did the light carpentry and I did the upholstery.  It probably only cost around $100?

(In DH’s old apartment, he lived a spartan life!  haha)

I went out on a limb & ordered my entire bedroom set from overstock.com.  I read the reviews on the product I was getting and I couldn’t have been happier!  The shipping was $2.95 and I got a queen sleigh bed, two dressers, a nightstand, and a mirror for under $1,800.  Not too bad 🙂
