We currently have a wrought iron fancy pants set that was given to us a few years ago (and that we don’t even use now), but we’re looking at Ikea for a new set after we get a new mattress. Not sure what you’re looking for.

Well we bought the MALM bedframe from Ikea, which sounds like it’s lower end than you’re looking for, but I love it.  We bought our bedding and mattress from overstock.com and love them as well.  We got our king memory foam mattress for $360.  I’ll see if I can find the links!

ETA: Found ’em!

Three years ago we got our queen mattress (with box spring) at Denver Mattress and the actual bed frame (with headboad and footboard) at Ashley.

I think the mattress and box spring were about $600 or so. And the bed frame about $500. We didn’t want to spend a whole ton. We’ll eventually upgrade but we’ve enjoyed them so far.

The bed is kind of like this one. Except ours is mahogany and doesn’t have the posts.

The bed I’ve chosen is from Room & Board. It’s got the wingback upholstered headboard and footboard that I want, and the clean lines that Mr. LK wants.

We bought a “king” which is really just two extra long twin mattresses that they sell as King size.  I like sleeping on cement and FI likes sleeping on clouds so we had to get two separate mattresses to satisfy us both.

We got the mattresses with the frame and headboard all from Bernie & Phyls. We actually got an entire bedroom set there: a dresser, an entertainment set/dresser, two bedside tables, and the bed frame with headboard.  The mattresses are Sealy Stearns & Foster and we like them a lot.

We got a bedframe from IKEA, with a head & footboard. For the guest bedroom, though we just had the box & mattress on this low metal frame (I don’t even know where it came from) and I “made” a headboard with some fabric to avoid buying a whole frame.

We bought our set from West Elm, it is an upholstered headboard and base..and you get to choose your fabric etc, we bought matching/contrasting pieces in a chair and bench too.  We loved it so much that we ordered another one for the spare room!!

We paid around $1400 for the king size and $1200 for the Queen.

We have the Brook set in white from Bob’s…a bed, tall dresser, nighstand, and a shorter/wider dresser with a mirror. It’s all white. I really like it, although I’m not going to tell you Bob’s is the highest quality furniture ever. It’s fine for mypurposes b/c it looks nice and we really only sleep in our room, so it’s not like it’s in danger of getting wrecked too easily. Our  mattress and everythign is also from Bob’s.

I got mine from Overstock.com several years ago.  I still love it!  I purchased an entire set- bed, night stand, two dressers, and the mirror for the back of the dresser, and I had also bought a kitchen table & chairs and a few other odds & ends.  Total cost was under $2,000, and shipping was less than $3!!!
