i bought mine on etsy.com

the nice ones are not cheap – but they do have the simple ones for cheaper price under $50, just have to look very hard

the set of bracelet and necklace i ended up buying costs $175, plus shipping.

I love vintage jewelry, so I looked in antique shops and at estate sales. I found my necklace and earrings at an estate sale for $18.

I found my earrings at Macy’s – for $40, but I didn’t have a coupon, so you might be able to do that. They’re not online, but the brand is called “Eliot Danori” and the earring have small crystals, they’re pretty, but not gaudy. Perfect for me!

I am sooooooooooo lucky…my favorite aunt had a diamond necklace. I was asking her about jewelry and she showed me that one…I just about cried when I saw it, it was so beautiful, and she had a matching bracelet and earrings.  I don’t even know how many carats it is, but that thing was heavy. I’m so lucky she’s going to let me borrow it.  I’m a simple girl and my family doesn’t have a ton of money so it’s a real treat.

Why don’t you see if any of your relatives have jewelry you can borrow? It’s more meaningful, too! On my bouquet, I’ll be carrying a brooch that belonged to my grandmother. It will mean so much to me.

@luli29:  We look in the newspapers and on Craigslist to find out about estate sales. We also have a friend who is into antiques and she’ll clue us in when she hears of good ones.

@luli29:  You can’t shop estate sales online. They are ALWAYS expensive online. You actually have to go to the sale–usually at a home where they are selling everying–and look for things.  I found my jewelry for $18, and then later found the same necklace online for $89.
