My bridesmaids and I have agreed on a budget of $150aud for their dresses but I’m finding it really hard to find anything in that price range at all, let alone in the colour I want – emerald / dark green.
So I’m wondering where everyone bought their bridesmaid dresses from, particulaly if you are in Australia? Did you buy them in store or did you end up going online?
I’m thinking we will have to go online, but I don’t really know where to start and I but was hoping there might be a cheaper in-store option I’m missing.

littlemisspetite : I’m not sure what look you’re going for, but I wanted my bridesmaids to wear a fancier version of a maxi dress. I ended up getting them online through Birdy Grey. Check out their website! I found that they have 3-4 emerald options for you. All of the dresses cost around $99 USD. I’m not sure how much it’ll come out to with international shipping added, but I think it’s worth a look? Good luck!

littlemisspetite : Hi Bee!
As you’re an Aussie Bee too, I’ll tell you what I did
We went to Ferrari formal, and my girls fell in love with a multi-way dress (seriously, look them up, they’re the BEST as you can literally wear them any way). It was priced at $300. Unfortunately we couldn’t go with them even if we wanted to, as they didn’t come in any warm winter tones (which is a pre-requisite for our winter wedding)
So, looking online I found a HEAP of sites that did the same dress for $99 in like twice the number of colours. I ordered swatch samples from 2 of the sites (Modelchic and PSFrocks) to check out the fabric and it’s the same fabric as the $300 one! So I took the colour swatches to my girls, had them pick the colour they liked, and hey presto.
Best things about these dresses? If the girls shrink a little, or get a little bigger, the dresses still fit and look beautiful

soontobeemrs2019 : Thanks I’ll check them out. Fancy maxi dress sounds exactly what we are going for 🙂
sbl99 : I was actually checking out PSFrocks! Good to know the quality is good. I was originally looking at multiway dresses, but my Maid/Matron of Honor sort of shut that one down – she is big busted and apparently they don’t offer enough support x

littlemisspetite : Mate, for what it’s worth, my two bridesmaids are the queens of big busts
My Maid/Matron of Honor is a H/I cup
My Bridesmaid is a G cup
The dress looked beautiful on both (as most if not all multi way dresses include a modesty tube top as well, which you would put on under the massive long multi-way straps) and they are still able to wear a bra without fear of any straps showing

I found two of my bridesmaid dresses on ASOS, I also just searched for maxi dresses rather than bridesmaid dresses.

I bought a dress off Amazon a couple years ago for a wedding, which worked very well. It was between $60 and $80 (USD). My bridesmaids wore knee-length dresses from Dress Barn, which were $60.

littlemisspetite : Hey, bee! I used a seller called Heimo off of Amazon. My bridesmaids’ dresses were $89.00 U.S dollars ($125.00 AUD). They were so beautiful! I just recommend that you take your bridemaids’ measurements and submit them instead of ordering standard sizes, as the standard sizing runs quite small.

Hi bee! I’m in The US and got ours from Lulus for around $76 each including shipping. They have a large selection and so far I’ve loved everything I’ve ordered from them. I know you’re in Australia but if you spend $150 and use the code “WORLDWIDE” you can get free shipping 🙂 The only thing I would say to note is making sure to check the sizing chart and reading reviews. That helped me A TON! And all the dresses ordered fit perfect besides needed hemmed. Hope this helps!

My ladies got theirs from ASOS.com for $90 CAN. If you don’t mind buying online they have tons of affordable options.

Try bridalglee there are heaps of styles and colours and they do custom measurements which can cut down on alterations if they measure correctly. Also if u find the dress they have sales pretty often just get a sample first as colours change from the screen and they deliver straight to Australia.

littlemisspetite : try jjshouse. They have a huge selection in the colours you are looking for. I wore a dress from them and the quality was fine!
ETA you can get free colour swatches too

soontobeemrs2019 : The Birdy Grey dresses are amazing but I just tried to order some swatches and the wanted to charge me $80 shipping …so maybe not.
wedding2018 : BridalGlee is my top contender at the moment. Have you used them?
What is the difference between them and for him and for her, also KF Bridal… are they the same company? Online shopping stresses me out haha

My bridesmaids had dark green dresses from Azazie, David’s Bridal, JJs house, and dessy all within your budget. I hope that helps!
