Have you done a search for save the dates on the boards and blog?  Mine didn’t look so different, but they were printed on totally plantable paper that was embedded with wildflower seeds, which I thought was awesome.  A lot of the bees have had creative save the dates that they have posted, I am sure you will find something on here!

I used mixbook.com and got a ton of compliments!  I also had a groupon for them.

We made ours and had them printed by VistaPrint. They involved the phrase “buying the cow” and a picture of a staring cow. Yeah we have a weird sense of humor.

Etsy is a godsend, though. Search something like “unique save the date” and I’m sure you’ll find all kinds of inspiration.

Bella Figura has some really nice ones though they are letterpress: http://www.bellafigura.com/letterpress-save-the-date-cards.html A nice break from all the photo postcards.

We designed our Save-The-Date Cards ourselves and had them printed locally. The concept involved “taking a plunge” down into our venue and parodying a famous 1930s photograph.

I have found great inspiration on Pinterest!  And learned about tons of websites that I didn’t know before.

Etsy is a great suggestion.  I found someone on Etsy that wrote our names in the sand with our wedding date – we are getting married in Jamaica –  and then I turned that picture into a postcard.   The postcard wasn’t anythng fancy, I was only using my STD to get our website out there.  My invitations, on the otherhand were from a designer on Etsy and they are AMAZING! She was great to work with!!

I don’t know how ‘different’ they were.  But we did photo magnets from Magnetstreet.com.  We also got matching invitations (sans photo) from them.  Good prices, good options for personalization.

I did mine on MS word and had them printed at a local digital printer.  It was pretty cheap and I got lots of compliments on them.

I got mine through twin ravens press, tell kristen you like Erica and noah’s plantable save the dates! On the blog, there is a post on them in my archives (I am on my iPad so I can’t get the link right now, but it close to the beginning of my posts)
