I got some ideas online, then I designed them myself, then I had them printed at a local print shop. They turned out great! I found they were going to be about the same price as getting them printed from somewhere online, but of course I got to see the proof in person, plus I love supporting local businesses! (over internet businesses!)

Got a kit from Target, added the belly band and pearl.  VERY INEXPENSIVE!

I’m going DIY all the way.  I love Paper Source for their pre-cut-to-size paper, though!

DIY’ed everything from the pocketfold to the inserts.  AND, they were a HIT with my FI’s family (well, some of them, anyway, lol).  The women certainly loved ’em! (His marine cousin loved the drinks, as did his niece and a couple others, hehehehehe).

I’m not posting photos until the rest of the STD’s are mailed out, as well as the invites.

edited to add: Pocketfolds were made using 8.5×11″ resume paper, inserts were printed on 8.5×11″ paper, as well as the “invite” part (the part that says “you’re invited, yadda yadda yadda).  I used scrapbook paper for the bellybands, held together using scrapbook stickers.

Total cost was $29 for 80 invites.  less than 30 cents per invite before postage.

We made ours. 🙂 Hand drawn pen & ink, scanned into the computer, and printed onto deckle edge italian paper.  We lined the envelopes w/ kraft paper, and tied everything into a bundle with natural jute twine.  They came out really fun, and were less than 2.00 each, including postage.

I did DIY and got kids from JoAnns w/coupons. Added ribbon and rhinstones and a monogram and everyone LOVES THEM! People can’t believe it was DIY

irishbride2be   what kit did you get for the pocket folders?  Looking for less expensive options for that.  Thanks!
