Hey! I got a white sapphire on sale at Zales for $30. It has amazing cut and clarity. I got it reset in 14k gold. (It’s not my engagement ring, it’s my travel ering I’ll be wearing for a year.) The reason it was so inexpensive was because I’m sure the centerstone is lab created, but I don’t mind. I know the natural sapphire company can be pretty pricey, so one option would be to consider a lab created gem. It’s exactly the same stone, just created in a lab.

I’m sure if you find a good jeweler you can create a custom ring together.

The stone for my ering was purchased from the Natural Sapphire Company (and it is BEAUTIFUL!) and we had it set into a Scott Kay ring setting that we purchased separately.

Mine is not a white sapphire but your setting is very similar to mine. It’s from Shane Co. 🙂 [attachment=1193327,151438]

@artichokey:That set is gorgeous!! If I liked solitaires, I would kill for a set like this! (Not that I dont like them, but anything that pops out bothers me on my finger..)

I got my setting from Shane Co as well.  I got the centerstone on e-bay from “Gems by Taft.”

We had another jeweler set them.  (I can find the info on that if you want.)  It was MUCH cheaper than having ShaneCo put it in, plus setting a stone on the ring (that ShaneCo did not sell to you) voids the warranty on the ring anyway.  So I had it set by a jeweler in the area (one of the ShaneCo people gave me her card).

@artichokey: Natural Sapphire Co. does custom designs–the custom pieces they’ve posted on their blog are gorgeous!  Their customer service has been pretty good, too, with the questions I’ve e-mailed them at this point.

Here is my new oval, natural white sapphire! It custom made by a designer on Etsy, MasterGoldCraft. It is reclaimed rose gold, and the diamonds are all conflict free as well. I love it almost as much as I love my new fiance!

I have fwiw, white sapphire earrings I wore on my wedding day!  Love them!  And yes, they look to the untrained eye just like diamonds.
