jess9090 :  I don’t think it’s wrong of OP to want a companion and to begin the next phase of her life with a new and supportive partner, especially given her desire to start a family. Sometimes there isn’t as much time for everything as we’d like.

Amy Elizabeth :  It must be sad to mourn the life you thought you were going to have when you married this man and he was being the partner you wanted. Don’t beat yourself up for feeling this way – I think it would be unusual to not care. I hope the court date goes smoothly and you feel a weight lifted once it is over.

Don’t worry..you have plenty of time. I met my husband when I was 39 on an online dating site. I always wanted to get married and have kids but didn’t think it would happen. Well here we are 7 years later we are married with an almost 16 month old son. Let me know if I can help/answer any questions.

Amy Elizabeth :  It will. Just be patient and believe that “he” is out there. Also, I recommend keeping your options open as far as appearance goes. I told my now husband that it wasn’t going to work because he is shorter than I am and had earrings at the time. It turns out that he is a super sweet guy and is actually pretty cute once he cut his hair and took the earrings out. 🙂

Amy Elizabeth :  I agree. The way I look at it is that we are all going to get old and grey one day so there HAS to be more than appearance. Keep us posted on how your date goes (if you go). Maybe it will be super fun?
