We met in College — he played football and I was a sorority sister. He liked me from the get go, but I was a silly sorority girl and not ready to settle down just yet. We lost touch for about a year, and then one day he randomly msg’d me on AOL to see what I was up to .. it was the first time either one of us had signed on in ages! We started talking again, realized that even though we both went away to school, we only lived 10 minutes away from eachother at home, and fell immediately in love.
Five years later and here we are getting married in 12 days! 🙂

My husband and I met through our company’s online bulletin board! He decided to get his own place but wanted to help his then-roommate find a new place so he posted on the bulletin board that his roommate was looking for a room to rent. I have no idea why I answered . . . I have my own house and had never had a roommate, but for some reason I thought maybe it would be fun to have a roommate. So I emailed him, he gave me her number and she came to see my place. The day after she came to look at my house she sent me an email to thank me and sent her a picture of her then-roommate (my husband) and said we HAD to meet because we would be perfect for each other. I still have that picture. She moved in a couple of months later and he helped her move in. I knew he had a terrible crush on me because he kept emailing me at work and showing up at my house to hang out with us, but I was in a very bad relationship that I had not yet managed to free myself from. A few weeks later, after a long overdue break-up with my boyfriend at the time, we started dating! He was 30 and I was 36, and for about the first two months our relationship I kept asking him why on earth he hadn’t been snapped up yet. He seemed too perfect. And he absolutely is. I’m the luckiest woman in the world. At 36, after one failed marriage and a long, horrible relationship, I had given up hope that I would find someone I would actually be happy with, but I learned how wrong I was. There are definitely still good ones out there!

My FH and I met in February 2000. My best friend at the time was dating his best friend (we were all sophomores in high school). We hit it off great and dated for about 3 1/2 years before splitting up. We stayed in touch the next 5 or so years and then in March 2009 we got back together 🙂

My grandma and his aunt are friends. They introduced us when I was invited over to his aunts house for dinner. Then his aunt asked for my phone number for him.

We met at work. I had just started working at this company (I was there a month) and then my Fiance started. My boss asked me to take him to lunch on his first day. The rest is history…
Funny story though, after the economy went south, our company started laying off people. Me and Fiance got layed off on the same day (along with half of our department.) At this point we were living together (and paying towards the mortgage…) so we were really worried. Something crazy happened… we both applied for the same job… and they hired BOTH of us, we didn’t expect that to happen in a million years!!! FI and I are both working for that company. 🙂

We met at a wedding! A friend of mine from my college sorority was marrying one of his best friends from West Point. They had tried to set us up a few years earlier, but we were young and it’s a long way from Arizona to New York, so it didn’t go far. A few years later we were seated next to each other at their rehearsal dinner and have been attached at the hip ever since!

We met at the gym. I was 25 and he was 27. Turns out, he was a close friend of my cousin’s growing up…in fact, we were both at her wedding several years before we ever met.
