Hi all! I am new to the boards, a waiting bee, and I have been lurking for a while. Out of sheer curiousity, where did you meet your Maid of Honor?
I met the lady I will soon call my made of honor in college. I was taking a Bristish history course, and she sat next to me in class. One day, I was going out of town, and I asked her if she would e-mail me her notes. She agreed. Later, she asked me to join her study group, and then we started hanging out one on one, and now we are best friends.
I have an older sister, but she is 17 years older than me and I see her more as a second mother, so she already knows that when I become engaged, she will be more MOB than Maid/Matron of Honor.
Where did you ladies meet your MOH? Or men, where did you meet your best man?
Or if the person standing next to you is a member of the opposite sex, how did you meet?
Trying to cover everyone, LOL.

One I met in kindergarten, when we had the day where the morning and afternoon classes mingled. The other I met through a mutual friend a couple of years ago.

I voted other in the poll. You need a grade school option.
My matron of honor I met in kindergarten, but we didn’t become friends until 5th grade. She’s always been baby crazy (she’s now a neonatal nurse) and my mom was pregnant. She befriended because she wanted to babysit my little brother – but obviously our friendship lasted longer then his baby years.
My maid of honor I met in high school although we never went to the same high school. We had a lot of mutual friends and met through them.

My bestie and I met at my first real job after high school. We are TOTAL opposites and have nothing in common except trying to become rich..lol We couldn’t be any closer even if we were blood related and I can’t imagine her not being by my side on my special day.

We met in 7th grade 🙂 All the elementary schools from the area came together into the middle school, and I honestly cannot remember how we met but we were in a lot of the same classes. We instantly became best friends. Fiance absolutely loves her and everyone always makes fun of us that we are the same person.
