grace14:  We chose to buy instead of rent as well because renting was much more expensive. My Fiance found a suit he liked on sale at Macys and when you register for their wedding registry, you get an extra 25% off of the sale price. Here’s a pic of the suits we bought. We got the 3 piece suit plus shirts all for $100.00. Such a sweet deal!

grace14:  we got his suit at Macy’s. It was $149 on sale, but it also cost $120 to get it altered so that it would be more fitted and not boxy. Even the slim fit suits seemed boxy.

grace14:  I was at Burlington Coat Factory last week. They had Michael Kors suits that looked great. The disadvantage of BCF is that they won’t have the same stock at all stores, so you may have to get your men’s measurements and purchase the suits yourself, in order to take advantage of any great deals you find. The men can reimburse you and take the suit to their own tailor for alterations.

grace14:  we found a local independent tuxedo/suit shop that was a steal for everyone (renters and buyers). see if your area has a community Facebook page and ask around.

we are getting all of the guys suits from Express. They’ll be wearing “the producer suit” in dark gray. My Future Mother-In-Law has very very generously offered to pay for all of them, which shocked me!
