I’ve decided that I want a ring wrap/enhancer instead of a wedding band, and I’m wondering where other bees have found theirs!
Last night, Fiance and I went to Kay at our local mall just to try on/see what we like, and I found one that I really liked (pic below). I’m nervous to buy from them, though, because we also went there the first time we looked for engagement rings and wrote down the number for one of the Vera Wang rings. I went home to look up reviews and read terrible things about them, and how the stones pop out, etc. and was immediately turned off. I ended up getting a 1.5 ct equivalent FB moissanite from Moissanite Co . Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there’s such thing as a moissanite enhancer.
Budget-wise, I’m trying to stay in the $1k or less range ($500-$800 would be awesome!). The one in the photo will be a little over $1k when it goes on sale in a few weeks. I’ve looked at a few local stores online, but not very many of them sell enhancers, and if they do, they’re double the price.
If you have pics/testimonials about your enhancer purchase, please share!! Thanks!

My original wedding set and enhancer was from Kay… I did not have a good experience with it and ended up having to “upgrade” and change my setting at Jared. The ring was GORGEOUS but the diamonds in the enhancer and setting just didnt sparkle as much, even when I just got it back from cleaning/redipping, and I had trouble with the whitegold yellowing very quickly (within 2 wks). I would look eslewhere for an enhancer and make sure the diamonds are a good quality (especially for the price). At Jared I had them walk me to all different lighting in the store and outside so I could see how it sparkled. I only wore my original set for about 4/5 months.
This was my set. I was so sad to let it go.

I went to Littmans for mine. It wasn’t a great experience, but they were the only place willing to add my mother’s diamond. As for Kays – I went there to have a stone reset and they completely destroyed my engagement ring. I will avoid them for the rest of my life!

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your ring troubles 🙁 I just don’t think I’m willing to risk Kay’s. Jared might be a good alternative!

I would go to a local jewelry store. That’s where I got mine and it’s very similar to yours. Find a mom or pop jewelry store and they should have them. Mine is made by: http://www.trueromance.net/

Do you know of any reputable, independent jewelers in your area? I would steer clear of the big, name brand stores. They have reputations for charging exorbitant prices for so-so quality.
