We’re registering on Amazon. We used it for our wedding and it worked really well. We don’t live near our families and Amazon makes it easy for people to ship anything to us. I like that you can also add anything to the registry from any other website. Returns are simple. If you join Amazon Mom (Amazon Prime) you get  a 15% completion discount instead of the regular 10% discount.

I remember registering with Target for our wedding, but I’ve got one up on Wal-Mart for a baby shower (…is it sad that I had a registry going WAY before I ever got a BFP?).

We have very standard tastes, though…as long as it’s espresso-colored it’ll go great with the rest of the furniture. That and most of my registry is little odds-and-ends that I haven’t had the chance to pick up yet.

@kenziemt:  I registered on amazon for the same reasons. I love that I can have etsy items or ralph lauren items included on the amazon registry.

I did BRU and Buy Buy Baby. I think two places is plenty.

I registered at Amazon and Target.

Target was more for old school people like my family that like to look and touch things.

Amazon was more for price. I found BabiesRus to be super overpriced.

We did Amazon and Target. Our thinking was that Target gives people an easy option if they want to go to the store and buy something right off our registry, and Amazon is a great way to list everything else we need and people can order it online or buy it from whichever store is convenient.

The baby shower is over, but we are considering adding a Buy Buy Baby registry so we can use the completion discount in-store. We’ll see.

I think two places is plenty, and I would decide based on location and based on what completion discounts/benefits they have.

@pittgirl4:  I thought Target was really great because their return policy is pretty easy, and if you end up having a lot of returns for gift card credit, you can buy stuff you need other than baby stuff (like groceries or whatever). I just did Target and Amazon.

@pittgirl4:  most of my friends have registered at Amazon. FWIW, I did for my wedding and it was wayyyyy better than Kohl’s.

We registered at buy buy baby and target. Keep in mind that Target is notorious for not removing items from the registry when they are purchased. i got duplicates of sooooo many items. I would make sure to check your registry and remove items if they do not come off when purchased that way you can decrease the amount of duplicates you recieve.

I did Target and BRU. I did get several duplicates, like SaraP2012 stated, so I had to be on top of my registry– which kind of blew a few surprises… Honestly, I think I only got 2 things off of my BRU registry and people tended to go completely off the registry and get me whatever the heck they wanted anyways. The completion discount was definitely nice, from Target. I also made an Amazon registry for myself (That I didn’t give to my family or friends) to get items from with the completion discount that they offer, too.

@pittgirl4:  Bed, Bath & Beyond and Kohls. But I really hate the Kohls registry. It’s been messed up for a while. Items not in the proper categories and haven’t been for almost a month. Then things because unavailable online and the pictures aren’t even shown with any type of information detailing what the item is so people have no idea what we registered for. I really hate that damn Kohls registry. It’s terrible.

ETA: Oops, sorry didn’t see that this was for baby!

Amazon and Target, though we live quite far away from our family so most of the things at target are things that can easily be mailed if someone wants to go to a store and pick it up them selves. the Amazon one is all the larger items we need that I woudln’t want to cary on a plane back from the city.

We registered at Babies R Us and Target! We’ll prob let friends/fam know that they can double check Amazon for items that are on our registries and may have a lower price, but I don’t think we’ll actually register there..mostly because we are done with our registires and I don’t feel like setting up another one haha!

We are doing Babies R Us and Target for sure. Mother-In-Law wants us to do Walmart too- we live in the country with a Walmart 10 mins away and the other two are an hour away.
