Registering for FH and I was really great. We both had a fun time when we went to our 3 selected stores. At each store we had and continue to have great assistance. For items that have been disc. our contact person emails us straight away to let us know and she also sends us suggestions of items we may like to take its place.

  1. Macys
  2. Crate & Barrel
  3. Williams – Sonoma

We’re registering with Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. We would do Sur La Table and/or West Elm as well, but felt our families wouldn’t like that (only West Elm nearby is in our city, and there aren’t many Sur La Tables around where our families live.)

We did Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, and MyRegistry.com. So far we are liking all of them.

We both shop at Target frequently, but didn’t want to register there because of the stories about baby items showing up on registries and because of their return policy restrictions. I talked with a Target manager and she said they wouldn’t bend rules even for her own wedding (ie two people bought the same gift off the registry, no receipt, and they couldn’t return one). I know some people have good experiences with them, but I have already been frustrated by their returns so I didn’t want the potential headache.

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and plan on doing Macy’s as well. I didn’t do Target for the same reason as Vonnegirl – didn’t want baby items or the whole return situation – my sister had the same problem with her baby registry.

Macy’s and Crate & Barrel– so far both experiences have been great.  We went to a sip & scan event for Macy’s and ate finger foods and drank yummy drinks while we scanned our items.  It was fun!

We registered at Macy’s and Crate & Barrel but I am really thinking that I need one more.  I am debating between Bed, Bath and Beyond and Target.  After this post it seems BBandB is the better option.

We really wanted to do a honeymoon registry with our travel agent, so we decided to just choose one store to keep things simple.  Plus, we already have a house so we don’t need a whole lot of stuff.  We went with Bed, Bath & Beyond and have been extremely happy!
