My Fiance wants to go back to our house but I’m worried that it won’t feel like our wedding night if we do that. We’re leaving for our honeymoon the next day so it’ll only be for one night but I’m still worried it wont feel like our wedding night. I wanted to see if other brides experienced this or regretted their wedding night stay. Thanks guys for your input!

Our venue (hotel ballroom) comes with a 1 night stay in their presidential suite, which we are totally going for.

My husband’s aunt and uncle gave us a one night stay at a very upscale hotel downtown Boston. The next day we flew out of Logan Airport to our honeymoon destination. The funny part about the hotel is that I think we had the only Subaru parked there. Everything else was BMWs, M-Bs, and Jaguars. It was a great gift as we would not have spent the money to stay there.

We are driving ourselves home. We arent big drinkers, and we live 5 minutes from our venue.

Our house. We paid for our wedding ourselves and left for an expensive 2 week honeymoon the Monday after our wedding so it was a no-brainer to save the $300+ a hotel would have been. Also, it was awesome to be able to sleep in the next day and not have to rush to check out of a hotel or pack/unpack a second set of bags.

Not married yet, but we are planning on staying at a hotel a few blocks away from our venue. It’s attached to our venue through a skyway, so we can walk there and save money on transportation!

We are getting married in fiance’s hometown, where neither of us live, so we’re getting a hotel because I don’t reallyyyy want to spend our first night in his childhood bedroom.

We went back home and then went to the airport the next day for the honeymoon. There’s no place like home!

We are staying in one of the cabins at our venue – along with most all the wedding party and immediate family. Our families and friends love to have a good time and carry on playing dominos or dice until all hours of the night/morning so we did not want to have to travel very far after the after party finally wraps up. 50 yards is good enough commute for us!

We are staying at the hotel where our reception is and having a nice lazy morning there after the wedding.

We came back to our house. To be fair it was extra special because we didn’t live together before we got married, so staying in “our” home was exciting. We also only live 10 minutes from our venue so it didn’t make sense to get a hotel either way.

- Wedding: April 2016 - Manhattan, NY
Our wedding was out of town so we were in the hotel we had been staying in and made a mini moon out of the weekend after our Friday wedding. We didn’t take our “real” honeymoon until our first anniversary.

I stayed at the VRBO with my friend, same place i stayed the night before the wedding. My husband spent the night at his family’s mountain house with his friends.

Our venue is a hotel so we’re staying. Even if it wasn’t we’d find one rather than drive 5 hours home at midnight.

We stayed at a hotel, maybe a 10 minute walk away from our flat.
