MrsPiggles:  You’re not missing anything by not going to the club. In general, I don’t like clubs.

The pool was definitely my favorite part. I wanted to take the gondola to wherever it takes you, but it wasn’t the time or place for it. I haven’t been since getting married, though and my husband hasn’t been there. I’ll have to take him soon.

We actually considered doing a dual bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas, but not actually being together. Just there at the same time, but my friends all have babies so it was easier for them to do Palm Springs. Vegas is always a good time. 🙂

We went on a cruise. 20-deep! I felt so amazingly lucky to have all those ladies on that trip.

We’re doing mine on Miami Beach. I live in a suburb that’s between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, so it’s perfect because it keeps it local while still being the kind of place people consider a “destination”. It’s between a half hour to an hour drive for everyone, with the exception of two out-of-town friends who have decided to fly in.

I didn’t want to do have a full travel destination to keep the cost reasonable for everyone, plus some people just can’t commit to several days. Personally, there are only a few very close friends who I’d travel for their bach party. Local means more people can go.

It’s one night at a hotel with a fun brunch the next morning. Some people are staying at the hotel, some aren’t.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago and we went to Chicago with the option to carpool. We had lunch, went to an arcade bar and then a record store. It was really fun. The original plan was to go to another neighboring city, east at a brewery and then go kayaking and hiking, but it poured. Thank goodness for back up plans 🙂 I wanted it to be fun and not expensive so my friends could attend. Some people just came for lunch and some went to the arcade. It was more important to me that my friends be there than have a destinaion event.
