My mom is plus sized and we are thinking she’s going to go with a full length dress from Dessy.com. Yeah, technically they are bridesmaid dresses but she will be in a different color and fabric.

My mom actually found hers on clearance at JC Penney! She loves that store and is always shopping for deals there. I’m not usually a fan of their clothes, but her dress was beautiful and not overly matronly.

My Mom found hers at the same boutique I bought my dress at.  It was on super clearance from the past winter.

For my sisters wedding, she actually found an amazing and very elegant and formal dress at Dress Barn, of all places!  They have a large variety of sizes too.

They have a great selection of special occaision stuff right now!

My mom got her dress from davids bridal, it must have been a limited edition dress because it was only in one of their stores and they only had one left and I was never able to find any  info about it online… but yeah it worked out for us!

Nordstrom.  She got two, both on sale!  Honestly, I think moms can often do better with regular dress departments/stores than with dresses specifically aimed at MOTB.

My mom got her dress at Nordstrom, and I’m pretty sure my Future Mother-In-Law did too.  They have a lot of cute dresses that don’t scream Mother of the Bride!

@WNCbride2011: My mother and I agree that there are only two MOB dresses at DB that actually look decent. I don’t know what’s up with all those tiered skirt things. She will either be getting a marked down Bridesmaid or Best Man dress, or getting something from Macy’s.

my mom found a few she liked at nordstroms, but ended up buying from inweddingdress.com and took her chances, luckily she had no problesm, the reviews of the site are iffy, by went smoothly for her – she took her chances after we ordered Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from lightinthebox.com without any trouble.

My mom found hers at One Stop. It is part of the Roaman’s family. Check out the clearance section. There is some nice stuff in there.

Well mom hasn’t purchased anything yet, but I think we are going to be ordering something off of Romans.com (or OneStopPlus.com)

My mom first found her dress in Dillards but they didnt have the color she wanted so she was going to order it online. Then, we went over to Belks ( huge 3 story Belks ) and it was there in the exact color she was lookign for… so Belks!  We have the same store in our local town but its much smaller and they didn’t have anything.
