I think my mom has ordered and tried on more dresses than I have! I know she’s ordered ones from Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Dress Barn, Herbergers, etc.

The first one we saw was from Macy’s, and I think unless she finds something else – that will be it.

eBay, actually. Brand was Alex Evenings, and it was new with tags for under $50

amberback:  My mom actually bought a bridesmaids dress from the salon where a I bought my dress. It doesn’t scream bridesmaid and looks great on her. The MOB dresses at the salon were all over $300, but her dress was $150 because the BM dresses were more affordable.

amberback:  my mom got her dress at a bridal boutique near us, we got a good price bc my BMs got their dresses there so the owner gave us a discount and on top of that the dress was on sale. My MIL got hers at a place in Jersey, East West Bridals, they had amazing prices. We first went to a bunch of places in Brooklyn including the one my mother went to but she didn’t find anything she liked, except at one place but they wanted $600! We went to Jersey and found East West Bridals and found a dress that was identical to the one she found in brooklyn for $225!

amberback:  My mom got her dress from David’s Bridal (she’s a size 16-18). My MIL actually went to TJ Maxx and a some other dept stores and mixed and matched some tops and skirts until she was satisfied.

My MIL got hers at a bridal store (and paid a fortune for it), and my mom got hers at Van Maur.  My mom paid less than half the price and her dress looked every bit as beautiful and elegant.  Definitely look at department stores.  Some of them have a decent amount in stores, but they all have WAY more online.  It is hard to buy something online that you haven’t tried on, but you can return them if they don’t work.  Look online at macys, carsons, bonton, lord and taylor, norstroms, and dilliards!

Macys or Nordstroms I believe. She had zero luck at bridal stores.

I have no idea where my mom got her wedding outfit. All I know is that she wore a white pantsuit. Even as a child I thought she was crazy, but to this day she loves it.
