Where did you/will you hold your wedding ceremony? And how much did it cost?
I’m not sure if anyone has noticed this, but venue prices have gone up substantially in 2010! Minoru Chapel was around $900 a year ago, and is now at $1500. Yikes 🙁

We’re having our ceremony and reception at a Best Western hotel. The ceremony room is $400 and the reception room is free if we have more than 100 people/meals (which we will). I haven’t seen the 2010 prices yet but we signed our contract in 2009 so HOPEFULLY we still get charged the old prices…

We’re at Minter Gardens in Chilliwack. It was $1200 for use of the larger ceremony site.

We’re having our ceremony at Hycroft and it’s costing us $800 for four hours, which is way better than the $3500 they want for 8 hours!

MissGoodie – sooo jealous. I contacted Hycroft by email and phone shortly after we got engaged in October, and they never returned any messages. I guess they were laughing at the girl who thought she might be able to score Hycroft with 9 months notice. Still in love with the photos online though.

Sapphire – I was so thrilled when we got it, its a beautiful location! We have had a long engagement which worked out really well for venues as we more or less had our pick when we started looking. We booked Hycroft in September of 2008 tho and I know at the time they already had a number of bookings for 2010…so crazy!

We’re holding our ceremony and reception at the same location, Terminal City Club. We really wanted to be able to flow from the ceremony right into the reception. And it’s only $450 for the ceremony.

My ceremony is going to be at St. Andrews State Park on Panama City Beach, Florida, which is free. However, since it’s a staet park our guests will have to pay $8 per car to get inside the park. My reception will be in Panama City and costs $350, which is a steal!
