I didn’t want to have to get ready at my house because we have three dogs and that was just too much to deal with so my sister, best friend and I stayed in a hotel suite the night before and the other bm’s came that morning. I know a lot of women who get married in churchs will use a room in the church to get ready in.

We are getting ready at my parents house it is close the the ceremony site.  My bridesmaids are all staying at their own houses.  Our Chuch doesn’t really have a place to get ready. (The Sunday school rooms etc are in another building)  Most of the weddings I have been in (7) we have gotten ready at the brides parents house (though I have gone to the hair salon for hair and make up first).  I have also gotten ready in a hotel room before.  Also I know other weddings where people have rented house and had family and/or the wedding party stay there.

The boys are using my Brother & SILs house the night before and to get ready.  SILs family rented a house the weekend of the wedding (there are a lot of them).  So along those lines you could see if someone has a house they would be willing to let you use.

@Emmacg03:  They actually didn’t have a full suite for us to use so they took two rooms that had a door in between and they took the beds out of one of the rooms and put extra mirrors, tables and chairs in there for us. It worked out really well.

We are having both the wedding and reception in a new timberframe barn. They have a honeymoon suite and a loft up there as well so we can just get ready up there. The boys will have to get ready elsewhere though lol

Every situation is different.  I stayed and got married at a B&B , my Maid/Matron of Honor was staying at diffent hotel and my friend was staying at the same B&B as me.  She had a separate room, but somehow we had a shared balcony that connected our room, so it was like having two rooms.  My friend and Maid/Matron of Honor got dressed in my bathroom because my dress was hang off the doorframe of my friends bathroom.  My room was large enough to accomadate everyone and a photographer, but having the second room helped big time.

I got dressed in my childhood bedroom (which was at that point in time, empty, since I had just moved out of it).
