The first thing you need to do is work on your budget.  You need to figure out how much money you are going to have to spend on all the aspects of your wedding.  You can talk to a florist later on, they will know what flowers are in season during your wedding month of November so they can help you next year with that too.

I would sign up for weddingwire.com It’s a free website that gives you a timeline of exactly what you should be doing month by month. It’s really handy and takes off a lot of stress.

Things that would be good to book in advance (if you have the money for deposits now)

1. Photographer

2. Cake

3. Entertainment (DJ/String Quartet/etc)

4. Minister

I don’t know much about florists because I am not using one.  I just hate to spend so much for something that is going to be dead by the time I get back from my honeymoon 🙂

Guest list would be a big one if you haven’t finalized it.  It’s always better to know what your numbers are as it relates to a lot of other things in your wedding.

You still have a lot of time, but I can see why you would want to start getting things done because that will be a popular date.
